I have a Troy-Bilt TrimmerPlus that I purchased over 15 years ago. Over time I've added 4 interchangeable components making this a multiple use tool at a fraction of the cost of buying those tools separately. My unit has started to have carburetor issues. So I bought this unit to both add a curved trimmer and replace my power unit while I get the carburetor straightened out. This unit is of even better quality than my 15 year old unit and even more powerful than it was when new. I am extremely pleased with it. I recommend this unit and the available interchangeable components. You won't regret buying them.

I am buying this as a replacement for my old one. Same one. It's lasted a really long time (I'm military and it's lasted 4 PCS moves). Actually still works but the gas line got brittle so I just decided to buy a new one. When you buy it here on Amazon, unlike everything else where you can just track it, or the seller gives you the tracking information... Troy Bilt does not, so when it's several days late you can't do anything about it or know if it's lost. Really just wished that I had run to Lowe's or Home Depot and picked one up as (first world problems) the stuff I need to trim is now two weeks overgrown. Great product though, just don't buy it here.UPDATE: So I am probably just a one off. Never did receive the item but they did refund the money without me having to initiate it. I mean, nowadays that says something.

Arrived several days ahead of schedule. Packaging was excellent. The one I had previously was backed over by a tractor...But I really liked this model, sadly its discontinued, but East Coast still has some available. Quick 5 minute assembly and you're trimming. My old one was sometimes hard starting but this one started on the 8th pull..Following the recommended starting procedure. This is a great trimmer

Appreciated the start assist (using battery drill and attachment), other add-on attachments such as chain saw, steel brush cutter and edger. This is my second model of this type. Wore out the first on and replaced with a like model. Good quality, easy to start and light weight.

This string trimmer I think was made by the same manufacturing plant as my old Sears 25cc. All controls are exactly the same. The trimmer was easy to assemble. Once put together, I put in some 40:1 mixture and it starts right up (well, after about 5-6 pulls on the pull string). The throttle is smooth and responsive. Very nice machine. How long it will last? Only time will tell.
