Very nice quality taking into consideration the price , I paired it with my Leica T with a Haoge lens hood, as my light travel everyday camera and love it , I wish there were more wide angle lenses in silver color from this brand.

I like it, for a beginner like me, get it at the price is awesome. Not having autofocus adds an additional complexity layer that I was looking for. Works really well for me. Next I'll get one for portraits.

This is an APS-C format lens! It is not designed to nor will it fully illuminate a full frame sensor. It is L-Mount because there are crop sensor cameras with the L-Mount bayonet. Some of the reviews I read complain about severe vignetting, on full frame! Of course it will! It's an APS-C format lens! I am using this lens on a Sigma FP-L full frame camera with 1.5x crop mode enabled and this lens performs well above what its price would suggest. All of the following assume use on an APS-C format sensor or with APS-C mode/crop mode enabled on full format sensors. This lens has respectable sharpness at wide open f1.4 and is very sharp at f2. Edge sharpness is very good at f2 or higher but not bad at f1.4. I think that wide open f1.4 is usable but to me, f2 is where this lens shines for its price. Controls are super smooth and the graded apature stops are very nice. Focusing is smoother and precise. Don’t forget to turn focus peaking on in camera, since this is a manual lens you'll need it. This lens is for those that enjoy manual lenses and know what they are getting into. If you want simple point and shoot, get a auto focus lens. Build quality, fit and finish, and controls all look and feel premium. Metal body with thread on metal lens cap. Very nice. I am more than pleased with this lens. If this lens had cost double or triple it's current price, I would give it four stars because f1.4 is not as sharp as on premium lenses. But! It doesn't cost triple or double what it currently costs! This pens absolutely punches well above its price.

I set the lens up on my Nikon Zfc and tried it in full manual mode. Took me right back to memories of shooting photos on my old Canon AE-1. This was based on a review I read in an online photography magazine. Quality is very good. I won’t use it all the time, but it is a fast lens, giving me great options and lots of bokeh when I want that effect.

The images I added are out-of-camera, with no editing. Taken at aperture of f5.6at f1.4 the images are soft, with noticeable hallows. From f2 and above it's usable. nice contrast. some aberrations at lower f-stops. mainly in the corners.f4 to f8 - sharpness and image quality is great. The lens is well-built, aperture and focus ring are nice to handle.bottom line - not a perfect lens. but a real usable tool with a very low price point.Recommended.

Dans les photos jointes à la description de l'article, il est indiqué que cet objectif est compatible avec le Lumix G85. Ce n'est pas vrai. Il est seulement compatible avec les appareils Nikon en monture Z.

Been watching reviews for this lens and has been blown away when I was able to use it myself. Great seller was local and is selling this for much cheaper than the ones in the first results.

The mating red mark does not exist in a6100 and hence it may not be advisable to use is in this Sony camera. (The Sony Alpha 6100 has only a white aligning dot )

I've had a Leica T for a while. Wonderful camera with very expensive lenses. You can get adapters but it's nice to have native lenses that just clip in. I saw this puppy for 66 bucks and had to try it. You do need to stop it down from 1.4 but at 2.0 and up it renders very nice photos with f4 a good compromise that can isolate the background and render sharp centers. It handles very well and the build quality, for the price, is just amazing. I'm going to leave it on for quick shots. It is manual focus, eh? The T will allow you to enlarge the center of the frame to see if it's focused properly. It can get within a foot or so and at about 50mm effective, it's a great all purpose walk around lens at a laughably cheap price. What's not to like?

I was hoping the low price was a reflection of the fact that this is a manual lens, and not of the quality. I was totally wrong.I've been a photographer for over 60 years. Manual lenses are all we had when I started out. This lens will not produce a sharp image for anything. Not close up, long distance, or anything in between. I took several test shots. Not ONE turned out sharp, not even using focus peaking on my Nikon Z50.The color rendition is lackluster. Lots of chromatic aberration. Not even a mounting mark to put it on the camera body. Very poor quality. This piece of junk is being returned.

The build quality, Ergonomics, and packaging of this lens is absolutely gorgeous. It’s just a joy to use this lens, and great value compared to EU made lenses.I’m using this lens adapted to an A73 so I expected a little loss of sharpness and brightness in the corners... in fact it’s quite a bit better in the corners than an older real Leica lens I own (very small Leica made 35 1.4 that I’m guessing has fewer corrective elements than this one)... so pleasantly surprised.Stopped down to 4 or 5.6 it really sharpens up enough for my purposes in the corners.Wide open, in certain lighting conditions you can get some hazy loss of sharpness even at the center, but if you’re shooting in the shade it’s a little less problematic. Stopped down to f2 it pretty much resolves and is wonderfully sharp in the middle.I would recommend this lens to anyone seeking a Leica feel, with decent but not pixel peep perfect image quality.
