This net sounds good on paper but just doesn't work in practice. Well the fine mesh does catch stuff but it is so fine it creates a ton of drag. Also you wrap the net around the edge of your existing net. I have a concrete pool and use the edge of my net to scoop stuff off the bottom. This net will not last long at all because now it is what is dragging on the bottom. Finally, it just doesn't fit well and you can't easily flip it over to empty like you typically would with a skimmer net. It is oversized and therefore has a lot of excess fabric that keeps it from fitting well and falling through the hoop to empty. It is nicely made and made work for those with liner pools, but for concrete pools this thing is not going to last long at all.

I couldn't get this mesh pool skimmer net to stay on my normal pool skimming net, so that was the first reason it didn't work well. Then I don't think the mesh is fine enough to trap the dust on the top of the pool which is what I bought it for.. so another strike there. And last, it was really lightweight and clearly not durable because it got 2 holes in it the first time I tried to use it. I'm buying a skimmer robot instead.

My pool enclosure net does have some openings in it so all summer I do strugle with a lot of tiny mosquitos over my pool. It has been so hard to get rid of them and I have tried a copule nets but haven't worked. This one is the best by far, works great and removes the tinitest debris from my pool surace. Seems very good quality, it hasn't degraded at all and great value for it's cost. I will probably buy another one to have just in case because it was difficult to find something like this priced so good.

Fits in a standard skimmer bag. It has an adjustable cord to keep it tied around. It has a fine weave that traps even sand. I like that I can disconnect, carry the bag outside and rinse it off. It is much easier to clean than the skimmer bag itself or this inside the skimmer.

This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" things. We've all seen the liner that goes in the filter basket, but those things driver me crazy - I've had more than one end up in the basket at the pump. This liner goes into the skimmer and helps you collect the thingies that typiccaly slip through the matrix of the skimmer net. It is very effective, but here's a tip. Skim without it first, then once you think you have all the floaties collected, then put this net into the skimmer... you will be surprised at the amount of stuff that is still in the water (kind of makes me wonder what my filter is doing?)Of course, you can just start skimming with the liner in the net... but you will end up cleaning the liner every couple of minutes. Speaking of cleaning - use a garden hose with a nozzle, and blast the stuff off the liner. You can try shaking the stuff out of the liner, but you'll be shaking for a while until the thingies in the liner decide to quit hanging on.Highly recommend, especially during pollen season.

Wow! Does this item make a difference! In my part of the country we have pollen flying around pretty heavy beginning in late February. This year, the first with a pool, has been no exception. Frankly I was getting discouraged as the filter pump of the above ground pool simply couldn’t keep up with the amount of pollen. In desperation I was looking around and found this item. What a difference! So FYI it’s a little harder to scim the pool with this mesh in it because it picks up much smaller things (like pollen. Also be careful to swirl it around but don’t “back up” your scim or you will put the pollen back in the water and have to scoop it out again. Also after a few passes we found it helpful to rinse it off with the hose which you can easily do without taking it off by just pulling it out of the scimmer basket. It fit our deep scimmer basket just fine! Love this thing! Great idea.

Excellent. I had ants in my spa jets, the regular skimmer net couldn’t collect them. This worked amazing. Super easy to install and cleaned those tiny critters right up.
