I tried some other replacement saddles and ended up with this one. The others used plastic cam-locks. This one uses serious metal buckles. The others slipped when you put weight on them. I think I could put me and the deer on this one and it wouldn't slip at all.

Nice heavy duty seat. Used on my grand slam climber that is several years old. Feels like its made from good quality materials that will last for several more years

I have a tree stand that has been sitting in the woods neglected and unused for years. The padded seat disintegrated out in the elements with some help from critters nibbling on it. I was going to add a wood seat but never got around to it. That probably would have been really uncomfortable for long hunts. This item solved the problem with minimal effort.Just install the straps on one side, then do the other side and you're back in business. The buckles are in fact metal but not steel which is great since they're stronger than plastic and they won't rust. One thing that sets it apart from the others I looked at is the center strap running from front to back. I think this will better distribute my weight helping it be more comfortable and last longer. The only negative for me was that the straps are too long and dangled in the wind like six flags drawing attention. I suppose they need to be long to accommodate different stand frame configurations.... I simply cut them and sealed the ends with a lighter so it didn't fray.
