I looked at a lot of these products and chose this brand with their no headaches pitch expanding and applying these. Full body adhesive was a critical reason as well. I bought a 36 pack and only 2 had any type of issue expanding to a perfect from, and honestly, the only way to be absolutely sure they come in perfect form is to never compress them, and that just raises cost of packaging and shipping. The 2 that didn't snap to perfect form, we're just talking one edge being about 1/4" lower than perfect, so it is all perfect for my needs. They expanded fast, however, I let them sit out with only 3 high in each pile for 2 hours before I came back to look at them, so excellent score at easy expansion description.Adhesion is also a great score due to full body adhesive, however I am using them on a resin walled shed cleaned with 95% isopropyl alcohol, so the adhesive does not touch 100% of a surface to fully adhere. They are up and good so far, but I do not expect them to stay that way as the temperatures change. If they don't, I'll know exactly where they go and reapply using some car headliner spray glue, that will most assuredly keep them in place. For now, I'll hope to keep it mess free and see if they hold their place.I am using them to keep my CNC machine noise down a little for my neighbors since I don't have the room for an enclosure. These panels along with a different sound insulation product designed for cars, mostly applied to the doors of shed, they actually works well. I don't have any sound measurements, but my own hearing tells me it was all worth the $80 in materials as I like my neighbors, most of them anyway. I barely hear it 12ft away from shed and that's with the 16,000 rpm Dewalt router. With the 4 extra I had, I placed next to the 60db air compressor, if the adhesion works out, I'll buy some more and fill out that wall and those 2 sides of shed being covered will do a good job as there isn't anyone on the side of the other 2 walls.Turns out my work enabled me to seal up all the cracks that allowed air to come in (besides designed vents that I cover with removable material), so in winter, I'm already ahead of the game keeping the shed warm when heater is on. Best $80 and 2 hours work done to this shed yet.

They are easy to install with the adhesive sticker. Just make sure to press on it when installing it. Either way, it sticks very well. They’re light and they work the way they’re suppose to. It eliminates sound. Perfect for our little studio.Just keep in mind they take a while to fully form because they come compressed in the package!

Upon receiving these curious foam panels, I must confess my initial reaction was one of bewilderment. Such peculiarly shaped objects, reminiscent of a bedraggled sponge that had undergone an encounter with a tailor's scissors. However, one should not be hasty in judgment, for appearances can deceive. The installation process, dear reader, was an experience not unlike engaging in a spirited tussle with a particularly tenacious octopus. Yet, with patience and perseverance, the panels eventually yielded to my determined hands and adorned my chamber walls. Now, let us discuss their purpose, shall we? These foamy fellows purportedly possess the supernatural ability to quell the unruly cacophony that permeates one's living quarters. In truth, I half-expected them to serenade me with a chorus of "Hush, hush, dear sir!" in dulcet tones. Alas, my dreams were but ephemeral whimsy. To assess their efficacy, I decided to embark on an auditory experiment. With a rambunctious gramophone blaring forth the swinging tunes of yesteryear, I positioned myself within the confines of my newly fortified sanctuary. Lo and behold, the decibels were indeed stifled to a somewhat more manageable level. The wall-mounted sponges, or rather, the sound dampening panels, had achieved their designated purpose with modest success.Yet, dear interlocutor, it is vital to temper one's expectations. These foam panels are not miracle workers. They cannot transform a symphony into a somnolent whisper or reduce the exuberant laughter of children to a mere mouse's murmur. No, no, they are but humble servants in the realm of acoustics. As I reclined in my newly subdued chamber, I pondered their aesthetic impact. Ah, yes, their appearance. The foam panels, while practical in their function, possess a somewhat utilitarian charm. One cannot help but feel they belong in the modest abode of a music enthusiast, rather than adorning the opulent halls of a grand mansion. In conclusion, dear reader, I find myself in a position of moderate admiration for these acoustic sound dampening foam panels. They may not revolutionize the world of acoustics or transport you to a realm of perfect silence, but they certainly make a commendable effort in taming the auditory chaos that often plagues our lives. If you seek a touch of tranquility without sacrificing your entire fortune, these humble foam panels might just be the ticket. Good day to you, sir or madam, and may the melodies of life grace your ears with harmony and mirth!

Got them today, did my measuring and placement testing. Opened them up and let them sit about 30min and they formed nicely. Super easy to place on the wall, and they stayed nicely. Noticed a difference right away, not so tinny and echo-ey sounding now, more full sound from my Towers and Center. I'm running Klipsch speakers in a 7.2.2 configuration. Have about 15 sheets left so I have some more to use. Biggest difference was setting them up behind the center channel and TV area wall.

These are great for that pro studio look and feel! These really do fully expand within a few mins like it says.Yes the adhesive backing does work beautifully with one catch, you have to read the one key instruction that says “clean the surface you’re sticking them on first.”I used Lysol Disinfectant Spray, let it dry for a few mins and I haven’t had any problems after a couple weeks of them being stuck to the wall. Before sticking them though, I used thumb tacks to place them on the wall in the design I wanted to make sure they would work in the area I wanted. The only con that you personally may have and it is not a con for me is:These do not do much in terms of sound dampening. They do a little and I can hear a mild difference but nothing that’s going to be useable for a live band or loud environment. For me, I knew these weren’t going to be that and I was okay with it for that’s not what I bought these for.I needed these for video content and over all atmosphere feel and these are excellent for that!
