For the money you can save, I don't see a good reason not to use this. It seems plenty durable, adheres well to the mortar (all-set is probably worth the cost for installing this), and even holds a crease better if you're bending around a corner. It does shed fibers a bit easier if you're messing with one area a lot, but I didn't find that to be much of a problem. Almost 5 stars.

This worked great for waterproofing our tiled shower. And a fraction of the cost of the name brand. Worked just as good.
