We used on the whole floor of a basement before flooring over it. Several bedrooms, a hallway, closet and large area with the heating appliances. Nice cushion under the flooring, does not move around. Very easy to install

The material is excellent, it keeps the heat well. We installed it on top of the cement floor and installed floor heat sheets on top of that. Highly recommend this product.

I installed the QuietWalk Plus prior to laying down 375 sq ft of site finished solid hardwood flooring. The flooring is absolutely rock solid and is totally squeak free and really deadens the sound transmission. The flooring strips slid nicely into the tongue and groove of the other pieces making the install go much quicker.

Dense padding, one of the higher rated sound absorption underlayments. Relatively easy to install, though it was difficult to cut with carpet knife--scissors may be easier. Rated for hardwood. It was an overall good investment I think. Only issue I had was they had shipped out QuietWalk and not Quietwalk Plus so I had to exchange 1 of the 4. Double check to make sure you get the right one....warranty and density are different on the QuietWalk and the Quietwalk Plus.

This is good stuff! I removed the vinyl flooring from the treads of our 90-year-old house's creaky stairs and replaced it with some of this padding and some low-pile carpet, and it's remarkable how much quieter (and nicer to step on) our stairs are.Normally, when using this padding in a room, it's not necessary to glue or staple it down; you can just lay it down before installing a "floating" floor over it. (The pad does have some peel-off adhesive you can optionally use to keep it in place.)On our stairs, I applied a few lines of regular-strength No More Nails adhesive (available here on Amazon; it's very useful), applied the piece of padding to the stair tread, then put a board on it and stood on it for a few seconds to press it into place.I then added a few more lines of NMN to the padding; then added the carpet, similarly board-pressed it, and used spring clamps and square doweling to clamp the carpet around and under the front of the tread (having added more NMN to those parts of the tread). Everything's stayed perfectly in place, with no tack bars or stapling needed! We also appreciated how this padding is made almost entirely of recycled materials, and that it's less expensive than many similar products. Recommended! 🗞️ 🙂👍

The particular floating floor that I installed has a tendency to be creaky so I read that a good quality underlayment could help. After doing a little research I decided to go with Quietwalk. I used several other types of underlayment in the past, mostly the thin foam padding. I really like this particular underlayment, it does feel to be more sturdy and it's definitely thicker, but not by much. I used it over a concreate subfloor which is fine but I think it would work great over a wood subfloor especially on a second floor where you want to keep noise down. The installation of it was easy and straight forward, just remember, blue side up! Quality product!

Cuts easily, and it has its own built-in tape to connect parallel sections, so no separate underlayment tape is necessary for installation. Have used this product several times already for separate rooms, and I will be using it again for future LVP installations.

Not only is QuietWalk Plus a water barrier it also cushons the floor so that it's quieter. It's not cheap however, especially if you have a large room to do.
