When intact these tank treatment packets work great - easy to use and controls holding tank smells without the nasty chemical stink or hazardous waste issues of formaldehyde. However some combination of Valterra's packaging and Amazon's delivery process makes these hit-and-miss as to whether the packets arrive intact.Make sure to order far enough in advance to inspect the package contents well before traveling. To their credit Amazon will replace damaged shipments, just make sure to allow extra time for the process.

After trying this product on a recommendation similar to this one, we found it to be superior to anything we tried before. 2 and 1/2 years and counting with our new rig and absolutely none of the typical problems reported with RV plumbing (odors, backups), which we did have with using harsh chemicals in our other units. We have used it on short, long, cold, hot trips and it works the same each time, and a rinse or two leaves the holding tank remarkably clean. No issues in recommending this product.

This is the only product that we have ever used in the black holding tank in our RV. I guess it is kind of hard to get excited about something that you throw in a black tank but in all the time that we have been using this, both in very warm as well as in very cool weather we have had zero odors from the black tank. I have never tried a different product so I have nothing to compare to but I can tell you that this does what it is supposed to do. It eliminates orders from the black water tank.

Odorless holding tank treatment was recommended by my environmental holding tank pumping company. It used to be available at West Marine weber he tipped me off that it wasn’t so of course I went to Amazon and there it was. Probably delivered well packaged and there are so many little packages in there 10 that it will last me a little while. For my use of the product I can definitely recommend you buy it too

This product came to me in a shape that was very upsetting and I've just put it aside and have not used it! It was supposed to be in individual packets, but there wasn't one complete packet-- most of them were empty and some of them had 1/4 of the products and some had half the product in the just THREE of the 10 packets!The rest of it was loose inside the plastic bag. I reached in and dug through the product to find out if there were any intact bags...NONE! They were all empty. Not much later, my face and hands began to burn...the only thing I could think of that would cause my skin-- from the back of my hands to a little bit past my wrist and my face which I had touched, except touching the product, so I read the instruction and found out that one was not supposed to come in DIRECT contact with the product!I panicked-- because I am highly sensitive to chemicals, due to severe asthma- -specifically diagnosed as IRRITANT-INDUCED ASTHMA, so off the shower I went! Thankfully, I was not injured except for the burning skin. Had I not thought to read the instructions as quickly as I did, it would have been a different story altogether!Don't tell me to send it back-- because I have no time to go to the post office, then spend MY money to send it back to you! A friend suggested I repackage them into plastic bags... I'm certainly not about to expose myself to that chemical again and I can't trust the next package you send me won't be the same, so I'm just going to go to a store where I can pick it up and buy it!This is by far, the worst condition in which I've ever received anything, in my many years of ordering from Amazon! The rest of the items were fine. BUYER, BEWARE! It would be wise to wear a pair of gloves to open the package safety.

Very very happy with this product. Having owned a travel trailer for over 23 years, we were surprised with our new one to be having a problem with odor control that we have never had before now. We tried a few other brands that did not work, even found a place still sold the old thick blue stuff, and that did not work. So glad we found this product. It leaves a slight chemical smell, but we find that very acceptable since it rids the other offending odor completely.
