My son immediately scooped up this pen set, as it's perfect for his role as D&D dungeon master. The pen set is made of metal and has a cool dragon design. For the price, it's a nice novelty set for someone into fantasy or D&D. It's not a pen for a serious pen enthusiast - it writes well enough, but it's not a high-end pen - but it is great for someone who wants fantasy decor.

The overall design on this set is outstanding whether for both practical and aesthetic purposes. It's fun and creative to write and draw with an ink feather pen. This set can also work as a unique gift to someone interested in art especially with it's presentation and design. The pen writes well, it does splash a bit but that's typical for a feather ink pen. The holder is heavy and holds the ink well.

This is a fairly cheap gift that also looks cheap. The real feather is nice but everything else looks like plastic. The material feels cool to the touch and clinks a bit, so it's probably really cheap metal, but either way, it doesn't look good. You can see the poor quality in the product photos as well which seem to have been updated to be more honest than the original photos I saw that looked far more metallic.The plastic look of things wouldn't be quite as bad except that the back of the dragon's wings on the pen have this ugly border and indents that make them look like a weird facade, only meant to be seen from one side. The pen holder at least looks decent from all sides except the bottom.The ink pot is ironically the most legitimate looking part of the collection, made from real glass, though the label is a bit of a low-res print.It includes a rather lovely small card and envelope that's blank inside, but it says "Thank you" on the outside, which unnecessarily limits what occasions the card could be used for.Overall, this is an alright cheapish novelty gift for dragon lovers, but personally, it's far too low quality for me to display in my collection. I'd far rather pay $25+ and have it look good.

I bought this for my SCA Laurel girlfriend to brighten her day.All I expected was something pretty since she has specialty calligraphy equipment already. To my surprise she tested the pen and ink and found it to work really well!It’s a dip pen so anyone who isn’t used to writing with that sort of implement will find it slow to write with. But if you know how to use it, it writes smoothly.The ink is dark and doesn’t react poorly to the paper she tested it on.The price was good for both beauty and functionality!If you like dragons and want a dip pen for thinner calligraphy hands, this might be a good one!

This is a great pen and is easy to use, it dose splatter a little bit but not bad. It dose wright smooth and is nicely weighted. The ink is very black not washed out or gray. The holder is nice and heavy so its not going to get knocked over.
