I have installed two of these horizontally in the attic access point of my garage, utilizing them as a ventilation fan. This fan draws air from within the garage and expels it into the attic. The installation has proven effective, significantly reducing the temperature in my attic.

I had a 20" box fan in my laundry room window for years. It did an OK job exhausting hot air from the house, but I need more CFM. This fan is WAY MORE powerful, comes with shutters and I made it fit right into the same window. I added wood fillers into the side window tracks and screwed right through the pre drilled holes into the fillers. Rock solid and secure..Really cooled the house overnight.

The top leaver doesn’t close as well as the others. I plan on getting back on the ladder to see what I can do to get it to match the others soon. I didn’t use the speed controller as I didn’t care having wire down the 16 foot tall wall. So the speed is always full up and it gets a bit noisy. I just turn up the music. Sometimes when the wind blows the opposite way, it makes a little noise. Sorta like the prop on and airplane. Overall I am happy with this 24” fan. My neighbor likes it so much that he ordered one for his shop. update, after using this fan for a while, the back wash is worse. I don't feel there is anything I can do about it but its noisy to the point I turn it off. I did add the speed control to know if that would help and it did not. I'm stuck with it so I will just make the best of it..

I use this fan to evacuate noxious fumes from a small paint room I made in the basement using drop cloths as walls and placing the fan in the window. It has two sliding panes which pull out very easily. The way a slot between two sections of wood at the sill plate allows me to push it up, then forward, as the bottom rests on the lower window frame. Right now I'm using a single fan, removing a single pane. I am upgrading to two fans, necessitating pulling the other pane out. I made a metal mesh screen that attaches on the outside and keeps any critters from entering.Bottom line, there are zero fumes escaping and just a single fan sucks the majority of fumes out quickly. Resididual smell lingers after 30 minutes...give it an hour and it's completely clear. Two fans should do wonders. I love the speed control, which I mounted to the rear of the fan and can turn on/adjust once it's in place. I can barely hear it operating. This was LONG in coming. Been using it a year now and it's superb.

It was easy to install. I'd had a mushroom type commercial fan previously that was very noisy so I looked at a lot of other fans of comparable CFM. This one was a good price and works very well. It's on a 11x14 Harbor Freight greenhouse center gable end, wired through a Home Depot whole house fan thermostat which is very precise ON-OFF at temperature control. Set at 80F, it kicks on by noon as we're at a very hot climate, southern exposure with some morning shade and 40% shade cloth on the south side of the roof.
