Vibramate Standard V5 Adaptor Mounting Kit, For Bigsby B5, Chrome
Now you can install a Bigsby Vibrato on your guitar without drilling any holes! The Vibramate V5 Model Quick Mount Kit is designed for a Bigsby B5 Original Vibrato and will fit most traditional style guitars that have a tune-a-matic style bridge and a stop-tailpiece.
Vibramate The kit installs in minutes with the included hardware and eliminates the need for drilling permanent holes in your instrument.
Vibramate comes with 3 felt-pads secured to the bottom of the mounting plate for a soft touch to the top of your guitar.
Vibramate automatically positions the Bigsby Vibrato in the proper orientation and makes a very clean finished appearance with great performance.
The Vibramate V5 mounting plate was originally designed for flat-top guitars but may also work on a variety of carved and arch top models that have the same standard tune-a-matic style bridge and stop-tailpiece setup.
* Note: Vibramate V5 is designed for the Bigsby "Original" B5 Vibrato ONLY and will not work with other variations such as the "Licensed" B50 Model or the Import B500 Model. Make sure you have the correct Bigsby Vibrato for proper installation of the Vibramate Kit!

I have a gibson firebird I didn't want to drill. This worked perfectly. I also raises the break angle so the strings don't rub in the saddle so hard I believe that the easier angle helps it stay in tune

This makes adding a Bigsby super easy, fast and reversible. I love SG guitars but hate neck dive. This adds a bit more weight than just the Bigsby alone and mostly solves that problem. Which is a big added benefit along with just adding a tremolo. I do believe it helped with sustain as well.

If you don't want to make any new holes in your guitar, this is a great way to install your Bigsby tremelo. It's quick and easy to install - you shouldn't even need instructions, but here's one hint: Chinese guitars will use the metric screws included.

I just bought a used Fender Jaguar Blacktop with the adjust-o-matic bridge. It was the perfect candidate to Bigsby-ify, but I really didn't want to drill a bunch of holes into the top of a brand new (to me) guitar. Then I found the V5.Simple to use - just follow the instructions and you have a new bridge in your guitar in less than 5 minutes. The biggest problem I have is that the V5 and the Bigsby don't sit flush. I get it - 100+ lbs. of pressure across all your strings means there is some significant pull, and, without a rear bolt, it's going to be pretty difficult to do that. But I feel that, for an already low-sustain guitar like the Jaguar (primarily due to the shorter scale), there really should be some sort of mechanism to keep it locked down to the body for resonation purposes. Even cranking down on the screws doesn't alleviate anything.I don't really know what the solution would be except for adjusting the angle of the main screw holes. But it looks like Vibramate intended for it to sit flush, otherwise why would they have put little felt pads on the back of the unit to protect the body? It just never touches it.So, sure, it stays in tune and it plays and sounds great, but it still gets some points off for stability because it doesn't *appear* to be stable. I kind of worry that, in the wrong conditions, it's just going to fly off the guitar. And the price? Yeah, it's a huge value for the money if you're unsure vs. drilling holes in the body of your guitar, hating it, and needing a paint job or paint repair. But, for a piece of solid metal? It's way too expensive. This really should go for about $35-40. $52.99 is just too much.

The idea is good but after fitting it I found the flaw. The V5 causes the bridge studs to move a lot due to the string tension on the Bigsby, raising it up from the guitar body and causing terrible tuning problems. I have now removed it and screwed the Bigsby directly onto the guitar...Problem solved!!

I've been wanting a Bigsby on my Epiphone Dot for awhile, but I didn't think I had the skills to start drilling holes and getting the installation right. The Vibramate is the answer. I checked the website to make sure I was buying the right kit for my git, got it from Amazon, and away I went. I probably could've saved a $3-5 dollars by buying on eBay, but I have more confidence in returning items to Amazon if this didn't work out.Know that this kit and the Bigsby V5 come in chrome, gold, nickel, & I think black. I wanted the Vibramate & Bigsby to match my chrome pickups....so chrome.I put the guitar on my work bench, took off the strings, removed the tailpiece, screwed down the Vibramate (using the metric screws as the kit comes with both), and finally I screwed down the Bigsby. All of that took less than 5 minutes. It took longer to restring as there is a little learning curve with the vibrato. I watched a video on YouTube which helped. The Bigsby does not lay flush against this type of guitar, but the website told me about this. It's not noticeable unless you look real close so it doesn't detract from the aesthetics.I notice no change in tone or sustain as I've read elsewhere on the web. It's hard to say about staying in tune, as with new strings there is some stretching that needs to go on. I'll up date later.

I put a Bigsby B5 on my 1978 Gibson L6-S with only a screwdriver using this adaptor. No cutting or drilling, no damage to finish.Took me longer to put the strings back on then it did to install the Bigsby.I have two guitars with a Bigsby now and I recommend a roller bridge be installed at the same time along with the VibramateString Saver. Much easier to string the guitar with that accessory than without.
