This charger does not work. It may work initially but it will not fully charge the Ryobi batteries. It is a piece of junk. Spend the extra money for a Ryobi charger.

Lost all three of my Ryobi Chargers during Milton down here in Fla, had to have one to charge my batts cause I need to replace my carport that blew off. This does the job, 1/2 the cost of HD...

In my attempt to be frugal, I purchased two Nickel Metal Hydride batteries (of similar rating to join my collection of power for Ryobi 18 volt lawn/yard tools). Some but not all of the Ryobi devices come with a very capable (but somewhat overpriced) lithium ion battery. Ryobi sells them "tool only" to keep the price down. The lithium ion batteries in the lawn and garden store sell for about $60. Online they're about $40. But Amazon has several nickel metal hydride batteries for half that price. So...I bought two for what one lithium would cost. But... Catch-22. The charger that comes with Ryobi ONLY charges lithium This product that they call "Dual Chemistry" does BOTH! I had the option of returning as unusable (because I couldn't charge them) two very nice, new nickel metal hydride batteries or buying a charger. I did the later. This Vinida device does both very well. I am quite pleased. Now I can charge 2 batteries at once. Had I bought a lithium ion extra, I would not have needed this device. But I did. And it works great...charges as fast as the Ryobi OEM. I give it 5 stars.
