My GE Profile dryer belt snapped after countless years of operation. I had this delivered from Amazon in less than a day! Installation was pretty straightforward until it was time to get the tensioner set up. It was a massive struggle with both arms and flying blind due to its placement under the drum. The first one I put on must have been a little off because after 15 minutes it snapped. I don’t blame the belt for that. So I am now on my second and after another wrestling match got it set up better - in the drum groove and straighter on the tensioner. I will see how long this lasts. I did buy 3 just to have them on hand in the event it snaps again.

I'm so happy we tried this before calling GE. We took off the top and front panels of our GE dryer, immediately saw the broken belt, grabbed it and put on this new belt. There was a little bit of a struggle getting it properly taught but after some Youtube videos we figured it out. Can't believe for less than $14 our dryer is back in business and working perfectly and Saved us from a big bill!

The belt fit and drives the dryer drum very well. So far I have had no problems. Trying the belt was much cheaper and faster than calling the service technician.

We have a dated Hotpoint electric dryer. We ordered this because the drum stopped working. The belt was delivered fast and was the correct size. I replaced the belt and quickly stopped the "I need a new dryer" conversation..lol
