I use them to move hot grill grates and to coals and wood to my smoker. I'm not holding anything long just a couple minutes here and there. They are good for what I bought them for.

Excellent product for beginners and welding. Protection. But very bulky and doesn't allow the feel of your hands to move freely. Only to hold objects with a Strong grip.

I bought these gloves for my husband's birthday which is in wood-burning season. He was stunned. He could put his arm into the stove to adjust the wood as he was stocking it for the night. The gloves protected him 100%. He never felt the heat through the glove's fabric. These gloves are long enough that they protected his forearm too. Story: We purchased ridiculously expensive gloves at a niche store that caters to fireplaces and woodstoves. They didn't even last a season before holes wore through the fabric, negating their protection. It was frustrating. For the price we paid, they should have lasted a decade!!! :end of story.Since purchasing the HereToGear Welding Gloves, we've never looked back. It took 3 years before the first hole appeared. We have since purchased another pair for ourselves and another for my parents. Now, HereToGear Welding Gloves are the only ones we'll use. They've proven their mettle and we're 100% satisfied with this product.

these gloves were a gift to my grown grandson for his birthday because he requested this particular type of welding gloves to replace his worn out pair. He's a welder on his job so he told me how great these gloves really are in his job. They are long enough to prevent him from getting burned by the welding sparks & flexible enough to make them easy to use while doing his job safely. His favorite color is red so I got the red & black gloves.

Since these are welding gloves, I assumed they would be fine to move a cast iron pan off my grill. at 500 degrees, I cant pick up the pan without significant discomfort or the need to 'double up' the gloves. They are made of great quality material but I'm not sure they would provide protection for welding as metal gets hotter than 500 degrees often. I get my grill to 700 degrees some times and these will not work
