I ordered to wear with my work boots in the winter months. I liked the socks but the heels wore out quickly. For casual use, I'm sure fine, but for high usage, didn't hold up long at all.

NOT HEATED, but I absolutely LOVE these socks. I have a few pairs and am about to order more. I wear them OVER cheap cotton crew socks, with my daytime slippers and outdoor boots. They keep my feet and ankles warm and dry, at the stable or in the drafty house.

I went on a cruise to Alaska. I bought these socks to use during the trip. Not once did I notice that my feet were cold. I was comfortable throughout my trip. The socks were fuzzy inside and warm. I would like a little more elastic to hold the socks up, but they performed beautifully in all respects. I highly recommend these socks, they work!

I work as an actor at a haunted attraction from late September through Halloween. I live in Kansas. The weather here fluctuates wildly and can range from the 100s to negative digits...and that could be the same day. Fall is particularly fickle because the weather can't decide whether it wants to be summer or winter. There is no in between. On the hot nights, I'm dying of heat exhaustion. On the cold nights, I'm trying to keep my toes from falling off. It would be a neat trick that might get a fun reaction out of the patrons, but I could only do it 10 times. I asked for these socks for Christmas last year to make the cold nights more bearable. Our coldest night this season was in the low 30s or upper 20s plus wind chill. My scene is inside a shipping container, so I don't get hit with wind like the outside actors, so my analysis of the product isn't testing the limits of their warmth, but I can at least attest to their capability in barely freezing conditions. In previous years, even with the Hot Toes heating packs in my shoes, I couldn't feel my toes on cold nights. They would freeze immediately and not thaw until long after I got home. With these socks + Hot Toes, I could feel just the slightest nip of cold trying to get in, but I was not uncomfortable. I will say, if I hadn't sized up my costume boots to allow for multiple layers of socks, these would not have fit in my shoes. I usually wear an 8-8.5 and my costume boots are a 9 and with the socks on, they are SNUG. In addition to warmth, the cushion from the ridiculous thickness prevented my feet from aching at the end of the night like they did on warm nights when I didn't wear them. These socks may not be sufficient for bitter negative temperatures (unless you wear a couple pairs), but they definitely made this sucky season suck a little less on the cold nights and I shared the link in the actor Facebook group and highly recommended them. 10/10 would buy again.

I purchased these socks to wear with my winter hiking boots when I go to the snowmobile races and winter hiking in northern Michigan. They are super thick, lined with "fur" and very warm. The only thing unusual I noticed that the sizing is a little strange. I ordered the "medium" which is supposed to be the women's size. The packaging it arrived in says it's a "9-10." To me, they're pretty large for a woman with a size 8 foot like mine and could actually fit a man with a small foot, but overall it's not a problem because they're very stretchy and accommodating. I'll be shocked if they don' keep my feet toasty in minus degree weather because of the material, thickness and fuzzy lining. It's also a plus that they just look good.
