Tested and confirmed it work. It really can work pretty long distance like 20ft-ish away. Unlike infrared remote, you don't have to point it accurate. Actually it would work even if you point in the opposite direction (so guess the signal go omnidirectional). The only complain (not to this product but to all similar product) is the size. Wish it could be much smaller in size and more portable. For this size (hand long), I probably won't carry it along in my travel. But for important occasions, I will use it.

I only used this product to take long exposures without touching my camera to reduce shaking affecting the image. I seen most people say it’s hard to set up and use with camera but I found no difficulty and didn’t even attempt to look at dictions. It had a locking mechanism to hold shutter for as long as you want or you can just click the button right the start to take your photo. Perfect for doing away with running and beating your 10 second timer for self portraits. The connection goes pretty far.

I just got this product yesterday for my Canon 80D and it was relatively easy to install though I thought it hadn't come with batteries or cables (I found them so we're good). My biggest complaint is that the type on the manual is way too small. I have 20/25 vision but even so I had to squint to read the text and I'm still trying to figure out the intervalometer. I think it's simply that I didn't set all the settings before starting the interval fire but with the instructions barely legible I am not sure. Also, if someone reading this can tell me what B-DOOR mode is as mentioned in the manual, that would be great. I don't know if that's burst mode or bulb mode.I was able to figure out how to use it in BULB mode, and when my wife and I go to see fireworks in July I hope to be able to use it then.UPDATE: I played around with the settings a little bit and got the intervalometer working just fine. Can't wait to try this on the night sky. I have a fireworks celebration tonight (7/3/24) that hopefully will prove this device useful in BULB mode. I think from the way I got the device working that B-DOOR is BULB on the Canon camera.

It worked perfecty straight away. Tried it on my R7 and my 6D. The reason for 4 stars ... Cheap plastic... The type that will shatter if you drip it into something hard. Not something I will use a lot so for the price its worth the price

Ordered this last minute to help with eclipse photography. The listing says it is compatible with EOS Rebel XT, which uses a mini USB port for shutter releases. The two cords in the package were AUX to AUX and AUX to a square-ish is 3 pin connector. Not sure what cameras that if for, but useless for me.Edit: raised from one star to 3. The manufacturer contacted me after seeing my review above and offered a full refund. Full stars for customer service.

Using this remote to take numerous photos of the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 in Terrell Texas. So far my practice photos using this remote shutter release has been great!

Bought to use with my Canon Rebel T7. Instructions are sketchy but the product works like a charm with no issues.
