This switch was almost a breeze to set up (see below). It works directly with Alexa. No Tuyo app or anything like that needed. Nor do you need to enable any Alexa skill. Just put the switch in pairing mode and add it straight from your Echo or your Alexa app.I say "almost a breeze" because when I told my Echo to "discover devices" (which is what the switch's instructions say to do), it said that I needed to use the Alexa app. I went into the app, selected Add Device / Switch. Selected Other for my manufacturer and selected WiFi for connectivity. After that, it took less than a minute for the switch to appear on my list of devices in Alexa.

I got this smart switch to control a USB-powered essential oil diffuser, and it's been great so far; I can turn it on and off from anywhere in the house. Setup was super easy, and connecting it to Alexa was a breeze. Now I can just tell Alexa to turn on my diffuser when I get home — it's one less thing to worry about. 😌 The range is good too; I haven't had any issues with it disconnecting. It’s been a simple, but very helpful addition to my smart home setup, and I'm considering getting another one for a different USB device—I recommend it.

Interesting concept being able to connect to Alexa to control on and off switching of USB devices. You can also switch attached devices manually with the on board button.

I wasn't expecting it to be compatible with Homekit, but at least have its own native app/user interface that I could access on my phone. Nope! What a silly and useless design.

It works. But must be paired with an Echo, stay in about a 30 foot range, and only it passes power, no data. If that fits your use case, this is ok.

Connects and shows up very easily. However, once connected, it would show that the server could not be found. Disconnected and reconnected multiple times as I had purchased different brands of these, but this style (thin, thumb drive size) was the most ideal. The on/off did work with the button. However, that defeats the purpose of purchasing a smart on/off switch.

I got this so I could control some USB fairylights with Alexa and also add them to automated routines and it works perfectly. I was a little concerned that it would be a nightmare to set up but it was one of the quickest and easiest smart devices I've set up!

I wanted to use this to control USB powered devices around the home, but it can only be used where there is already an Alexa present (as it needs to connect directly to the physical Alexa device).Another useless device to sit in one of my many man-drawers until I find a use for it.

Works well to remotely reboot my door lock hub.Love that it interfaces directly with Alexa with no intermediate app! Actually very simple.Amazon needs to write simple instructions. The vendor's instructions are hopeless and result in mass confusion, dead ends, and wasted time. Many steps required by other devices must be easily skipped entirely. Alexa users need more devices like this, just with better instructions.
