Used along with other less abrasive sponge to get 25 years of wax off polyurethane coated hardwood floors. They look lovely. From now on they will be cleaned only with a spritz of vinegar and water and a soft microfiber mop.

These are much more easy to use for sanding random things around my house than using sandpaper. They are easier to hold, seem to be a lot more durable, and work very well. They are also very affordable -- this whole 8 pack is basically 10 bucks!I've used these constantly for the last few months on things ranging from metal to wood to even acrylic and they've worked very well. I would happily recommend these sanding sponges, and would absolutely buy more as I need them!

I usually buy the 3M sanding sponges, but they can get expensive, especially when working on large projects. This pack of sanding sponges come in a variety of grits, from 80 to 220. The sponges come in a generic cardboard box with flaps on each end, making it difficult to remove individual sponges. It would be better if the box opens from the top so the sponges can be removed and place back more easily. The first thing I noticed about these sponges are a higher density and therefore very firm, which can make sanding smaller diameter rounded surfaces a little more challenging. I also noticed that each grit came with 2 sponges, and I would have preferred to have more of the finer grits, but that is more of a personal preference, The 80 grit is very aggressive, and works well to remove a lot of material quickly, and doesn’t clog – I pounded out the material by slapping the sponge on a flat surface to get rid of the removed material from the sponge. I really liked the finer grits, and the abrasive seems to be evenly distributed so I can get a smooth final finish. The sponges can also be used wet, although I have no need for that, and wet sanding something like automotive paint requires something with a much finer grit that this set comes with.Overall, I think this is a great set of sanding sponges. They are very well-made, work well, seem to be durable, and best of all come at a very affordable price. Every DIYer should have a set of these and keep them handy.
