I have had nothing but trouble with sensors on Amazon. They all fail, some of them out of the box. I give up. I'll buy from dealer. Tired of crawling under vehicle twice each time, once to install, once to remove. Then repack and send back and wait for a refund

Went to back up my 2008 Mercury Mountaineer 4.6L and got the red "Check Parking Aid" notification a few days ago. Went and inspected the sensors and one had a mark on it. Used an XTool P700 and it identified the same sensor as having failed. Local parts store wanted $50-60 for a sensor. I bought these (4 for $25) even though they were not rated yet. Watched several YouTube videos on replacement. Most for Mercury Mountaineers and Ford Explorers showed a procedure that required removal of taillights and the bumper cover. Saw one video for a Ford truck where you accessed the sensor by laying on the ground underneath the bumper and reaching up spreading the connected tabs and pushed in the sensor with a thumb. Took less than five minutes. After the sensor was out of the bumper, just pulling back the tab for the electrical connector with a screwdriver an the sensor popped right out. I connected one of these new sensors to the electrical connector. Started the vehicle and put in reverse and the parking aid was "ON". Went back and popped the sensor back into the tabs and the bumper cover. These were a perfect fit and work great.
