Some reviews noted having to do some "bending" to get it mounted. My went easy onto 09 RKing. Thought the welding looked pretty good and chrome plating seemed to be well covered on the rack. For what I paid for it would definitely purchase again. Slightly wider and longer than stock rack which allowed my older leather "trunk" to attach well.

I had to use a heavy mallet and some muscle to get this to fit. Now I wonder if it will come off when I want it to. But it seems solid and looks good. I put it on my 2016 Road Glide. One last thing, as my bike is set up (CVO stock, except for the added sissy bar) this luggage rack needed me to push and bend my license plate down in order for it to lock down in place. So far I’ll say that the installation was tough. I like the function and look.

Had a small issue with customs but seller was willing to compromise and we worked out a deal. Other than that I absolutely love this rack! Fits perfect, quality better than expected for an aftermarket part. Very pleased! Installed on 2011 Street Glide CVO

didn't want to spend the money on the actual $300 one, tried this and i really like it.make sure you guys apply *RED* Loctite to the bolts before you even think of putting this on your bike.

Ordered on Monday and received on Thursday. Did not like some of the reviews regarding fitment but thought I would take a chance. For starters, price was great compared to HD. Rack came packaged well and with instructions, not that instructions are needed. I ordered the dull black and arrived with no scratches or noticeable blemishes. Like many have stated, mounting points were too narrow, but as another poster did, I put on carpet and pulled apart slightly. Fits perfect now. No need to grind anything down, just spread apart and should work fine. Overall, fits (now) and looks good on my 2018 Road King Special. Will update as needed once road tested.

Oh man, I was worried, having been burned in the past by cheap low-cost products, but not this time. I gambled and WON!The first area I seen on this product was the weld joining the mounting uprights to the tubing on the rack. Wow, these are actually great welds with proper penetration. So far I'm impressed.Next, I had read a review mentioning the poor quality of the docking locks, and the reviewer stated he had to spend an additional amount at a Motor Co. dealership to get a quality latch. I'm not sure he and i received the same product. The docking locks that came installed on mine, are Machined and Anodized Billet Aluminum. (you can see the machining marks thru the anodizing) The locks are smooth and operate perfectly, they fit the dock like they are supposed to, The quick release pins on the lock are aluminum as well, and operate in and out smoothly to make installation and removal easy.So far this product is a top tier product at a reduced price. Now comes the one and only downer I can find. The finish is nearly perfect, with a few minor exceptions (see up-close photo for reference) Overall the poor quality finish is a minor issue in my opinion. Now don't get discouraged, you could take this item to a sandblaster, get it sandblasted and then powder-coated all for far less than the cost of the Motor Co. product. (you could even get it color matched to your ride)Overall, my initial inspection and thoughts are do not be afraid to purchase this product, this is a high-quality product at a rock bottom price. I would gladly purchase this again.Also to those asking if the finish is matte or gloss, its semi gloss.

Delivery time was excellant, two days after order. The product not so good. It was a very poor fit, the chrome piece across the back of the rack was missing a screw and came llse on one side.
