I use these in my salt tank around my sump setup for in case of emergencies when water leaks I will be aware of the issue immediately, uses a 9v battery and works great the sensor is so sensitive the sweat off your fingers set it off.

Neat little alert devices. Price was right and easy to install. Not sure on the battery life as these were just purchased but looking forward to seeing how these little guys work out. Installed them in the basement and plenty loud enough to get your attention. For the price, hard to beat.

put in my water heater pan to warn me if water heater starts to leak. Tested in a cup of water. They start chirping as soon as the water is about an eight of an inch up on the sensor. Don't know about battery life..

Its appearance is like a cheap plastic, but make a big sound and works upon contact. I can't comment on Its durability. Note this is not smart, so you cannot monitor it on your phone

Our tub overflows easily when the faucets are turned on full so I got this as a reminder to shut off the tub. I won't use it because of these flaws:1) Incredibly noisy with no volume control.2) No easy way to stick it to the tub at an exact level.3) It turn on just by holding it in my hand - no sensitivity dial.4) It went off the first time when the water was 3" below the sensor rather than at water contact.This means it's useless. I'd gladly pay more for one of these with better features.
