Granted it's a Chinese component but it looks well made and with my Cubase Pro software the signal is clean and no learning curve it's very straightforward in use.

At first sight, this looks like good value for money. I have an old-ish Focusrite Scarlett device (pictured above the Q-26) which costs £180, so this audio interface looks like a bargain at around £70! The box is metal, well-made, and sturdy, with two inputs (2 x jack/XLR) for instruments or microphones. There is also 48V phantom power for microphones that require this. All looking good at this point. I connected it to my PC and configured my DAW (Mixcraft 10) to use this as an input and an output device. The good news, it worked. Not so great is the noise level. When comparing with the Scarlett, noise is definitely worse and there appears to be some noise gate that agressively cuts in and out, making it noticeable on recordings. There are some strange additions, including a rudimentary reverb which I wouldn't want to use (that can be done much better in the DAW and is not destructive to the original sound source). All of this is probably what you expect for a device costing less than half of the Scarlett and it may be good enough for some uses. The last thing that makes this less usable, is that there are no ASIO drivers for it. I hunted to find a way (the manual is more of a "getting started" guide and doesn't contain much useful information). So I tried to find the device on the internet. This is where things got more interesting. It is advertised as being made by XTUGA but arrived with "Teyun" branding. The XTUGA web site doesn't mention this model (Q-26) and the only references I find to "Teyun Q-26" are on Amazon or AliExpress. Needless to say, there are no in-depth manuals. So, without ASIO, I struggled with poor latency, making it difficult to play and monitor through the DAW. I even tried ASIO4ALL drivers but they did not recognise the interface.Overall, if I could get the latency down to a reasonable level, I might live with the extra noise for some projects but, for now, I will continue to use my old Scarlett.***Update*** I should note that the seller offered me a refund for the item. If this is an example of their customer service then I am impressed, although there was no indication of whenther it was possible to reduce latency through ASIO drivers. Credit where credit is due.

I'm a home musician and I use an electric guitar and synthesisers with my DAW, FL Studio. My go-to USB audio interface is a Focusrite 4i4, which I've used for a while and I'm very happy with it. I recently, thanks to Amazon Vine, had the opportunity to try a Blackstar Polar 2.0, which again was very nice. I got very good results with that, particularly when recording my guitar. This Xtuga audio interface is much cheaper than both the Focusrite and Blackstar, so I didn't really expect much in terms of quality when recording. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of results I achieved. I tested recording some chords through directly into my DAW and also into Audacity. The case is nice, a stippled steel, although at first I wasn't sure if it was plastic, but I don't think it is. The knobs are nice to touch and use and the push buttons also seem good quality. When a button is pressed a light pops up, so you know what's what.I plugged my guitar into input one, plugged in the USB to my PC and it was recognised and auto installed, so no nonsense with messing about installing the correct drivers - I'm looking at you here Blackstar. When I fired up Audacity, the interface was an input option. I selected that, plugged in a pair of headphones and I could record straightaway. As stated I had plugged my guitar directly into the interface, so there weren't any effects to spoil the signal. I wanted to hear what a clean signal sounded like. It was perfect, no hiss, no hum. I pressed the 10db button and recorded again. Again, although it had boosted the signal there wasn't any hiss or noise. I was very impressed. The inputs are dual, so you can be used for standard jack and XLR inputs. There is a button to enable 48V phantom power if you need it. I didn't.Direct headphone monitoring, two inputs, phantom power. All for a bargain price. No, it's not an expensive audio interface, but I think it is on par with the Behringer range. Pleased.

> XTUGA 32Bit/384KHz Professional USB Audio Interface for PC with 60dB Mic Preamplifier ~$80The Good: Good build quality, Good fit and finish. Plug and play on windows. Separate, quiet, dampened potentiometers for gain and phone output, echo effect, and headphone monitor with volume control. Can link channels for stereo. The Bad: The echo effect (called reverb) starts out too exaggerated and has a wet sound to it which reduces the usefulness. Instead of sounding like a larger room, it sounds more like a wet warehouse. The Ugly: Noise gate on both channels, and preamps are hissy. You can hear the hiss suddenly stop when the noise gate kicks in, and the gate cannot be disabled! At +60dB, it could barely drive the most common mic in the world (Shure SM58), even with the +10 dB boost, and it lost all of the crispness and character of the mic. I had to test it on a field recorder to make sure my mic wasn't broken ... it was that bad.As a sound professional, I was really hoping for a viable alternative to interfaces such as the Scarlett, but this is not pro level (if it had said "home studio" instead of "professional", I would be less critical). If you have a condenser mic, it might be okay for podcasts or an electric bass (lower freqs seem to be reproduced okay), but it will not drive a dynamic mic without a ton of noise. It is useful as a headphone output and I might actually use it for that, but it can only drive lower impedance phones. Not Recommended.

This XTUGA 32bit/384KHz professional USB audio interface works OK for most home studios, however it has a slightly higher noise floor than some of the more expensive audio interfaces out there. I do like that it can accommodate both XLR and TS inputs using the same port. What is slightly unusual is the effects processing that you can add to your audio signals such as adjustable levels or reverberation. I typically wouldn't use the FX processing in this stage of signal flow, however it is always fun to play around with. Overall, this audio interface is reasonably priced and is more than sufficient for a home recording studio, or podcast setup, or if you are just starting in professional sound design.

This is just what my baby wanted for his studio recording! It's lightweight, smaller than I thought it would be (I suck with sizes lol). But he loves it! Says it connects to his pc just fine and allows him to plug a mic into it
