I've had mine for 10 years; I've given half a dozen as gifts. I never thought I needed a spoon rest, but a lid rest is essential when you have a glass cooktop, and this does double duty. Inset tray pops out and into the dishwasher or is easily handwashed. Takes up very little counter space. Works as a tablet stand, as well.

..as a gift because I love mine so much. Will hold any size lid and catch (most of) the drippings. Also handy to rest your spoon or ladle.

This stand is awesome! Has a small footprint for those long handles spoons, ladels, spatulas, etc. Keeps the stove top clean, and it is mighty! Made of powder coated steel with rubber feet so that it will not slide or tip over. It comes with a removable tray that you can wash out in the sink.

So well designed, it can handle a cast iron lid !!! as well a extra large glass lid. The removable drip tray is easily cleaned. I bought two more for fam as "just because" gifts.

I’m sure most people just put their pot lids on the counter! NO! I neither want food all over the counter nor damaged counters from hot lids. Now, I have a place to hold lids and all of the drippings.Size - not only does the Yamazaki Lid Stand take up very little space, it is HEAVY. The high-quality metal build holds large, heavy lids with ease. The metal stand has four foam stickers to keep your counters from getting scratched.Ease of use - you literally just pick up a lid, shake drip, and place it on the stand. It could not be easier.Cleaning - the plastic tray on the bottom pops up and can be slid out for cleaning. I hand wash all the pieces with a brush and dish soap.Giftability - I feel this item is very niche.I have not used it to hold spoons or iPads.

This is a very nice sized, stable, lid holder, which includes a spoon rest feature. But the supplier seems to imagine only pointing the spoon handle up.I'd like to see a small change to the base. Make the base a little bit longer and put in a cutout, to rest the handle when it is laying on the counter.EDIT: or even keep it the same size! But make the back edge as tall as the front edge; and cut a notch in it; so a spoon can be laid into it. This would also allow a crosswise spoon to be laid in.

I am impressed with this item. When I ordered it I just thought it would be made of plastic. It’s heavy duty metal! It’s hefty and sturdy and looks really nice sitting on my oven. The base is a plastic insert that pops out for cleaning. I love being able to fit a ladle on it, prop a lid on it instead of setting the lid on the counter or stove, and put a wide spatula on it. I have a spoon rest that fits smaller items. Having both is the perfect combination. The right tool for the job!

I purchased this after it was recommended by someone I know and I'm so glad I bought it. This item is so versatile. I use it to hold my pots and pans lids when I am cooking. After I have boiled something, it is so convenient to place a lid on this tower so I don't have to put a hot lid on my countertop. I also bring it to my kitchen table during dinner time, so if we have a pot or pan that has a lid, we can use the tower to hold the lid while serving our food. It can also be used to hold a ladle, but I haven't used it like that yet. I am sure when it is soup season I will. It is very sturdy and has never fallen over. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I'm glad I bit the bullet and bought it!

This is a great addition to any kitchen. It works as a spoon rest, cookbook holder and especially well as a pot lid holder. This will hold any size lid and is very stable. It is not very large so fits on a counter or on top of the range without taking up much space. It looks great as well. We purchased the black stand and am very pleased with it. It apparently comes in white as well and would likely be very attractive in a white kitchen setting. We highly recommend this item. It was also highly rated by America's Test Kitchen. This is where we first saw it and were very pleased when we found it was available through Amazon.ca.
