I used this for my little girls birthday cake. It had 3 layers and was very heavy. The box held up very well with the weight of the cake. There was plenty of room on the edges and top for a 9 inch cake. The cake boards are probably my most favorite ones that I've ever bought. They were sturdy and have a glossy layer on them so they're easy to wipe off if you get any icing on them! I will definitely buy again!

These cake boxes are fabulous, I was so impressed that it held up great with a 4 tier engagement cake order I had, traveled to the venue well and comes with a nice steady support round to put under the cake. I will be buying these again!

I am a hobby baker and am often tasked with making cakes for different occasions. The problem I always run into is not having enough cake keepers, or not having one tall enough to handle a tall, layered cake! These cakes boxes are a lifesaver to store, transport, and protect my tall cakes!The cake in the photo is a double layered 8" diameter cake that was made with two 2" tall pans. That's two, eight-inch wide layers that are stacked.The cake boards that come with are very useful to keep the cake stationary and from sliding around inside the box. The icing I use has egg yolk in it, so that boxes are perfect for keeping the cake refrigerated (and yucky fridge smell free) until the party is ready. Once the party is ready, just take the lid off, open one side of the box, and slip the cake board out and you're ready to cut and serve!The boxes are not super sturdy like cardboard would be and do bend easily, but they do work really well for keeping dust and debris off the cake until you are ready to serve. As long as you're not transporting a $1,000 wedding cake, this should fit most hobby bakers' needs.
