This has been so much easier to use than a cutting tap. Not only is it easier to use but the threads are stronger because they are work hardened while forming. I am only using this with aluminum so i have no ideas how or if it works with steel.

I was trying to tap some aluminum prototypes and it grabbed and broke off in one of them. I should have used the right tap for the job.. decent quality tap.
