Like the sound. As title says, both pickups have the same pole spacing. That means there is not a true bridge and neck setup. I have an LP copy guitar and spacing for the bridge is perfect.Spacing of poles on the neck pickup is then too wide. In fact the high E pole is completely off from the E string. This makes the 1st and 2nd strings weak with all poles at the same height. Easy to fix by raising the entire pickup to about 5/64" from strings. Then raise the poles on the 1st 2 strings by a couple rotations. You have to fine tune for your specific guitar of course. The wires are not long enough to go from the neck to the pots on an LP style guitar. Likely not long enough for any guitar really. I just used my original pick wire that was already soldered to the pot. Then spliced that to the wire from the neck P90 pickup. I twisted the wires, and used heat shrinkable tubing for insulation.Other than the neck pickup poles not being aligned, it looks great and sounds uniform across all strings with my pole adjustments.

Bought these to replace a set of thin-sounding Alnico 5 pickups in a Firefly 338 after hearing a few sound samples online. I wasn’t expecting them to be anything more than “ok”, but I was very impressed with the quality of the tone. They are crisp and clear, very articulate sounding and capable of cutting through the mix quite easily. The sweet spot comes when you begin to introduce a bit of overdrive, and this is where these pickups perform extremely well. I liked them so much that I am getting another set for a different project.

I don't generally buy musical instrument upgrades that I'm not 100% sure about, and, aside from a few reviews, I didn't know much about these pickups. There's also an old saying, "You get what you pay for", and that is often true. All of that being said, let's get into it.When I received these pickups, I was surprised that they looked as good as the pictures. I'm not sure if the 'mother-of-pearl' is real, but it definitely isn't just a cheap adhesive sticker. The chrome finish is also pretty good, and I couldn't find any areas where the chrome had separated from the base metal, which often happens with cheap chrome applications. All in all, these pickups look great.Installation was easy. I didn't have to modify anything, including the pick guard, but I verified the dimensions before I purchased the pickups. My biggest concern was the gauge of the wires, but they all fell inside the necessary gauge limits required, for the guitar I was installing them in. These are all things that you should check, before installing any new components, in order to avoid doing a lot of work for nothing.Once they were in, I plugged in, and put the new pickups through the paces. I tested them on several different amps, and effects pedals, including analog/tube, as well as digital. I'm not going to say that these pickups sound as good as other high end pickups, that I have on some of my other guitars, but they definitely exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I think they sound pretty good. I wasn't experiencing the hiss, hum, or stutter that I've experienced from other low end pickups, some of which have been name brand.Overall, I think these pickups are great for practice sessions, or just playing around the house. I wouldn't use them on a stage guitar, unless I absolutely had to, but I think they would work in a pinch, if your stage guitar went kaput. If you're buying these, or any cheap pickups, expecting to get the sound of Seymour Duncan's, or Gibson Burstbucker's, then you should probably have your doctor perform an EEG, because you're clearly not making good decisions. If you're looking for a good, affordable pickup to spruce up a practice guitar, and have something that sounds pretty good, then these are great.I'm giving these pickups a 5 star rating because they are 'Great' for what I needed them to be 'Good' for.

I really like the sound of this pickup. I kinda wish it matched the look of my guitar but no big deal. I will say that the pickups are not labeled neck and bridge. There are different colored wires but no instruction on what it means. I found the black to have lightly higher ohms so I assumed that was meant as the bridge. Because I was using it next to a humbucker(low output but still) I used the hotter pickup in my bridge position. It actually fit my pick guard better than the Screamin Demon in the bridge. You get a lead and shield wire, shield is grounded to the metal cover ring on the pickup.

Replaced the cheap humbucker pickups on my guitar with these, searching for a better / different sound. They fit right in with no modifications. Definitely improved the look, but also changed the sound to something I really like. The neck pickup works wonderfully as a rhythm unit, providing a warm subtle tone. The bridge pickup sounds great as it has the "quacky" p-90 sound that makes for great surf guitar sounds.
