Very high quality. Personally, I dont need the loop as I keep it in a drawer. I would also recommend another product to build, and that would be a strainer with sharper edges. I do a lot of cooking in a Wok and something that scrapes a bit more effectively would be a nice addition to this product.

It’s not flimsy and has a longer handle keeping you safe from spatter. I was looking for something to make fried ice cream with and this fit the bill wonderfully! It was able to hold 5-6 ice cream balls at a time.

I bought this to replace an old strainer which was certainly not of the same quality as this item. The old one was difficult to clean and use as the straining element was twisted wiring of some sort; vegetables and pasta would get stuck in the wiring mesh. This new strainer is very sturdy, it does an excellent job with cooking pasta and straining out the bones or vegetables when making a soup base from scratch. I am very pleased with the quality, size of the straining element, and length of the handle. Very easy to clean.
