I use these for my mom's 5 gallon water container and water dispenser connected to the RO + alkaline system I installed in her place, works like it should, no leaks so far and does stop the water feed when the water reach the level I set it up to.

I purchased this valve for a automatic water feed to a coffee maker, which worked great for the first week or so, then one day came home to find water all over my floors and in my cabinets. The water valve failed and would not shut off. After cleaning up the entire mess I pulled the valve out to check to make sure something wasn't stuck in it, and tested it once again to complete failure. It would slow down the water flow, but would not completely shut off.

I bought this float valve so I could modify my Keurig coffee maker to keep the water tank full. I connected it to my reverse osmosis water supply, and now I don't have to re-fill the water tank after every few cups of coffee. It's been keeping the tank full now for about a month with no problems.I recommend it to anyone contemplating doing this mod to your Keurig.

I installed the valve in the water tank of a super-automatic espresso machine, and it did not fully shut off. I tested it, prior to installing it, and it seemed to take more pressure to stop the water flow than the float could possibly achieve, but I decided to give it a try. With the water pressure regulated and set very low, it still failed to shut off the water flow even after the water level had risen to the point that the float was completely submerged. I tried it the next day with full water pressure and it's working well, so far. I'm still apprehensive, after the initial overflow and cleanup. It will work well for parties, so I can turn on the water and not worry about refilling the tank, but I will not leave it on when a I cannot be around to monitor it.
