This set is not for beginners. The instructional video is not didactic. The set works well for those who have knowledge of the basics of crochet and not for those who are just starting out and doing it for the first time.

this kit is verry hard to use.it is verry frusteraing for kids to use.the quality is ok.the kit contains 4 yarns and instructions that nobody can undderstand.

It says for beginner, but it is still little hard. But I think I will get used to it if I keep practicing. The instructions are not too clear. The video helps, but the booklet instructions are little confusing

I bought this not knowing how to do crochet at all and was so excited to buy this. It had everything in the package that it said it would have and then I started watching the how to videos. I noticed that the persons yarn was much different from mine. Their yarn looked soft and think while mine was very thin and frail. I asked my friends who crochet or have in the past and they told me that that is not the right yarn I would want to use for this. So I’d say that this is not beginner friendly sadly.

I “adopted” a 10 yr old to buy Christmas gifts for. She loves the crocheted animals. Since she also loves any kind of arts and crafts, this set was perfect and the price allowed me to buy her more things.
