- This is an amazing little pre-wired 6-string magnetic pickup harness, ready to mount in your cigar box guitar or other stringed instrument without any need to solder or worry about wiring schematics.
- This harness features a 6-pole single coil pickup with a flanged black plastic base plate that makes it easy to surface mount on your build (you will still need to cut a hole in the surface to accomodate the bottom of the pickup).
- The pickup is wired to 500Kohm mini tone (with capacitor) and volume pots, and from there to the mono output jack.
- Black plastic tone and volume knobs are included along with mounting hardware for good measure.

Ordered these to replace the shot electronics in my old shallow bowl Ovation Celebrity. Perfect fit. Not the greatest for sound, but I'm amplified and stage ready again, for a very reasonable price!

The nuts included were too large for the threads on the potentiometers. Make sure you have some extra hardware laying around, or order something else. Have not tested the sound yet.

Kit was had 3 of the larger nuts for the end pin jack and none for the volume and Tone.

I have no experience with electric guitars, I usually dabble with classical. But everything works on this setup and it has allowed me to bypass the wiring portion of electric guitar building, which was nice. Does what it sets out to do and for the price. I’m sure if you have a lot of experience with electrics you’d probably be better set with some fancy lipstick or humbucker pickups or what have you, but these are great for beginner hobby building.

This is an updated review... the original one I was sent was defective and had a horrible high pitch static hum which made the pickup completely useless. I returned and got a replacement. The new one sounds much better. Only a slight hum (which is normal). I think there was something wrong with the tone pot with the first one that was sent to me. But, all is good now and this pickup sounds ok.

Rick here with Elloree Guitars. If you need a quick install at a good price, this is it. Remember that it is a coil, so it won't give a true acoustic reproduction, but if you have a good amp, you can work it out. Peace.
