Works well. Really does hog through wood with a clean line. As is common with thin kerf pull saws, it can bind unexpectedly and if you don’t react quickly you can destroy the saw. Just take some time, let the saw work for you, and it’s quite efficient with a very well designed handle. Worth the modest price.

I liked this saw. Getting the cut started was challenging as it has a courser blade. The trick seemed to be to keep the blade lower and flatter to the wood as apposed to 45 degrees or so with a conventional push saw.

This is the top rated hand saw (by wirecutter.com), and as I discovered, it’s rated that high for a good reason. It’s extremely sharp and made it easy for even an old, out of shape guy like me to saw through several different sizes and shapes of wood with no trouble at all. I’ve also used the next size down made by the same manufacturer, and it’s just as good, just a little smaller.

I only used this saw when I didn't need to use the circular saw. I used it for 2x4 and 6x1 decking. It was great for the first 20 cuts or so but isn't anywhere near as sharp as the first cut. I realize hand saws will dull but this item just didn't last as long as I expected.

I love this saw! I saw it rated as a top saw to use on various third-party review websites and I needed one for some fence building I am doing for my new house. I bought it initially to cut lumber but since I'm at the fence post digging/setting stage I've used it mostly to cut through tree roots, branches, and the like. So far, it's held up well and cutting through stuff has been super gratifying with this thing. I can't wait to use it for actually cutting through lumber. I'm sure it's going to do an awesome job.I also felt like I needed to know what it felt like cutting through stuff with a regular saw before graduating to using a reciprocating saw and a circular saw (both of which I have now but so far have only use the recip. saw, will get to the circ. saw soon). I haven't yet had to replace the blade on this yet but when I do it seems like it'll be super easy to install a new blade as well. Please note I'm writing this review as a former city dweller who only cut vegetables, fruit, meat, and produce before this. Never had to cut wood before except when I went back to visit my folks in Long Island to chop some wood during Hurricane Sandy because they were without power for 10 days and we had to get the gas-powered fireplace going and use firewood instead of gas because our utility was down. But, that was with an axe. =)

Este serrucho de excelente calidad, hace unos cortes rápidos y precisos, aunque no se tenga práctica, con sólo querer cortar bien, el resultado es muy bueno. Muy recomendable

I purchased this saw on the basis of a Wirecutter.com recommendation. Every word of their review was true. I cut through a 2 by 10 in no time and without effort. Amazing. Highly recommended!

I'm amazed by this saw so far. It absolutely chews through 2X4s in the crosscut direction (cutting a board to length, across the grain). It is thin, somewhat flexible, and cuts on the pull stroke, which I prefer. Be careful, it's very sharp - I've gotten lots of little nicks on my fingers when I've accidentally touched the blade when picking up or putting down the saw. It doesn't seem to work as efficiently as a rip saw (along the grain) but does ok. Probably not designed for that. I also got the small, flexible for detail work. See closeup photo of the teeth of the smaller saw lying on top of this saw.

This is a phonemically designed product that cuts amazingly fast.I'm a woodworker with moderate experience and I needed a new hand saw. I like pull saws because I feel I have more control on the back stroke than a forward stroke. I don't do any precision work with this, but I think I wouldn't have any problems doing it if the need arises. However, I wasn't paying attention and bought the 15 inch version when a much smaller blade would have worked fine. Make sure you measure out and need the 15 inch blade before buying. This sucker is huge.

I am a retired Army engineer. I do wood work both as a hobby and to make models for my inventions in my home-workshop. I was looking for a good quality pull-type saw. Living in an apartment, I have to keep my inventory of tools limited and make each tool worth its weight and the space it occupies. Only the internet helped me get to know of Shark Corp products. I researched their range and ordered for the 'Shark 10-2315 15-Inch Carpentry Saw'. I find it worth all the trouble of getting it from half way across the world. The saw is easy to handle, cuts along a very fine line without distortions and its kerf is very limited. The teeth are specially designed to keep the cutting effort minimal and best of all, the job is left with a very good finish. This saw is now one of my prized possessions and I would readily recommend it to anyone keen on getting a quality hand saw.Major AP Ramachandran, India.
