There are plenty of YouTube video's showing how to troubleshoot your furnace starting problems. If you have a little bit of knowledge and a multimeter this is an easy part to check and simple to swap out, saving you a ton of money in repairman labor charges. I ordered this part after confirming it was bad with a simple continuity check. It fit perfectly in my furnace and works flawlessly. My furnace completed the start cycle and I have heat again.

Error code : 4 flashes on the red light, read online how to test and change the switch, ordered it here. With new switch in hand, it took me 10 minutes to replace, and had heat again. Last night was the first night below freezing, thank you!

This goes bad every year for me. I’ve had the furnace serviced without issues, but limit switches are annoying. I don’t believe there are any problems with my combustion chamber so I think these are just wearing out prematurely. Good price, I try to buy them when the price is low and keep some in stock for emergencies. On my Trane/American Standard TDY100R9V4W4 (XV 90) Furnace the limit switch code is 4 red blinks (on the circuit board). This causes the furnace not to fire when the sensor goes bad. Good part to have on hand.
