I ordered this set for an outdoor area that we are going to begin work on once spring gets here. I will say that they will work for us, and we will use them but to be honest I really don't know how much I want to recommend them even though I gave them four stars. First, if you look at the images you will see that there is a gap in the fitting when you use modern standard lumber. This could make for stress issues on the lumber, especially as it ages and so we will have to compensate for that. Secondly is the price which, frankly, seems to be a bit high for what you get. Yes, you receive eight in the package but there isn't enough really to justify a $110 price tag ($13.75 each), if you look around you will probably find something less expensive. I know this because we have built other things last summer and used similar brackets and paid less than this. So, if price isn't an issue and you can work around the gap issue, these will work.

Good pergola brackets to reinforce angled roof beams. Pretty easy to install.

I am no carpenter and am building a simple square frame gazebo in my yard. These are perfect for making supports attach securely while looking nice at the same time. I'm also using wood that has been sitting around in my barn for awhile, so this really upped the overall finished look of the project.

We will probably get another set in order to build a pergola the size we desire. I really like the powder coated steel which makes it hold up better than bare metal. Another feature I like is the hole that allows water to pass through. These seem well constructed.

These are well made and sturdy. For those of us who want an easier way to build a pergola or… similar structure… these can help. they look attractive too.

I am converting a shade cloth covered Pergola into a Pergola with a Solar roof. The shade cloth was almost no weight, and didn't really need 45 degree supports. While the solar panels are also light, I wanted to add 45 degree supports to keep the Pergola from swaying. This set makes it easy to install the supports, and they look very nice! The metal and included screws look very well made and the matte black color looks great with stained wood. Before I added these, I could push on the Pergola and it would creak and had a little movement. After installing these brackets, the Pergola no longer creaks and has zero movement. The only negative is that the screws do not come with washers. Without washers, it is easy to mark up the bracket when securing the screws.Overall, recommend this set as an easy and attractive way to add support braces to your structure.

Very sturdy. Seem to be well made. Easy to use, but almost all of these types of brackets are a no brainer. They are well coated and look great. A little tight when fitting the wood into it, but hopefully the swell of moisture won't cause any concern. The 45 degree angle is great. Gives a nice flush fit when bracing the top pieces. They work well. At $10 per bracket, they are average in price. With only 8 in the pack, you will need to use them on structural supports only, or buy a second set.
