I could not make these function in DMX mode at all. I had them hooked to a Chauvet Foot-C rev. 2.

I ordered this to replace a broken par18 light that I bought a while back. They were cheaply constructed, and didn't even have the A bank available to run 7 channels. I had to run them with only 4 channels on the D bank, if that makes sense. I'm no DMX expert, obviously. These lights are in another league. They feature a sturdy housing, and 36 led lights, compared to my old one with 18. They also allow me to run a 7 channel setup. If I could have one feature added to all of the lights on Amazon, it would be the ability to daisy chain the AC power from light to light. All of the added 3 prong plugs on my 6 light bar really make it bulky. I always have to be careful when storing them in the padded case. I'm sure that is too much to ask, at this price point. There isn't a ton to say about par lights. Sorry to have to grade on a curve, but I would think 5 stars is reserved for expensive, name brand lighting. I do have my integrity as a reviewer to think about. These work well, and I think they will last a while. Buy with confidence - 4 stars.

I got this light as a budget-friendly option for entertaining in my studio, house concerts, or small venues. It's not bad for the price, though it's more cheap plastic than metal. The colors are pretty vibrant, and the strobe effect is definitely noticeable—maybe a bit too much if you're close. Setting up the DMX was fairly easy, which was a plus. One thing I ran into is that the remote shares the same frequency as another light I have in the same price range, so I can't control them separately in the same room, which is a bit annoying. Also, the light's focus is pretty narrow. I tested it from about 10 feet away, and while it worked, I’m not sure it would be practical from much further in most of my settings. If you're trying to light up a small stage, you’ll probably need a few of these. Overall, it's not as good as my more expensive lights that do the same thing, but it’s way cheaper, so you get what you pay for. For the price, it does the job.
