I did a number of jobs recently where some kind of puller would have made it so much easier(I think) that I got several tools that I envisioned helping me the next time I was in this bind. I think ultimately what I need is a slide hammer, because that is such an awkward way to have to apply force. Reverse hammer is more like it. This is the kind of tool you want just before you apply the pry, slide, reverse hammer action. Hopefully use a breaker bar to loosen things up side to side. The clamping action is fairly universal, anything this fits around can be locked down and once it is you are free to put the twist to it.

Works perfect and fit tightly, I was kind of nervous on it working or not and it did exactly as it said is was suppose to.

Just used this tool on my 07 Civic to R&R my steering tie rods. Worked like a champ! There isnt a lot of real estate to access the inner's, and this tool slipped right in and was easy to access to bust it loose. The tool locks on well and did not slip during use. My first time using a tool like this and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I will keep this handy for future use. Good deal!

For anyone that doesn't own a pipe wrench (or a set of them) this could be an important tool in your tool box...and without taking up a bunch of extra space and weight.Pipe wrenches often leave some pretty large scars when the pipe is rotated and the teeth are biting in.I can picture this working for tie rod removal, but also as a way to securely hold a pipe in place while using pipe wrench on the turning end.

the material feels a but cheap and doesnt have much weight to it. Worried that it may break upon first use, or strip. Concerned. If it works well, i will update my review

I'm very happy with this itemI ordered this to use when replacing the inner tie rod ends on my 2006 Pontiac G6. It did the job perfectly. There's not a lot to say about a simple tool like this except that it just works. It is low profile so it's easy to fit up in the tight space around the tie rod end.I had no problem getting the ratchet on it and it did a great job allowing me to tighten and loosen the tie rod end.I don't know how I would have done it without it.I would definitely recommend this to anybody trying to replace their inner tie rod ends. It worked great for me.

Got this for my husband . He said with the use of a breaker bar it seemed to be a little easier to access the inner tie rods and replace them.

Works well and is pretty compact so it fits in those tight spaces. Seems built well and it has gripping teeth all around the inside so it really bites the tie rod. I can see that this could be useful for other things also.
