I have one for salt. I bought these to put barrettes in as well as hair elastics, Bobby pins and other hair accessories. Keeps my bathroom vanity organized. Would be useful for organizing a desk drawer as well.

This is not my 1st set of bamboo spice boxes. They look very nice and are built well. Unfortunately, there is a chemical smell I cannot get out of the boxes. I aired them all out for a week, they still smell. I washed them with soap and water, they still smell. I put raw rice in them for almost 2 weeks, they still smell and so does the rice. I cannot use this for my spices or salt. They should use something else to seal the bamboo or just seal the outside. I have to return these.
