I find these tie downs to be very convenient as a truck owner. I wouldn't expect them to be good for super heavy duty use, but they are a great item to keep inside my truck for any light use where they could be needed. They are small enough to not take up any noticeable room in my truck, but still feel strong enough that I do trust them to hold things down safely. They will definitely work great for kayaks or similar things. The ratchet mechanism works just as I would expect. It is easy to get them very tight, and the release is easy to use. I have no complaints about the product. I will be leaving these in my truck permanently so that I always have a good set of ratchet straps ready when needed. I would recommend these to others.

These work great. I was expecting that you might have to hold down the rope release when you snug the line but was pleasantly surprised to find the when you pull on the rope to snug it up, it click ratchets without the need to press in on the line release. This is great in that it allows you to take up the slack with one hand, while you steady/guide the thing you're snugging up with the other free hand - fantastic! The 1/8" ones I got are pretty small but still rated at 75lbs apiece which is nice.Cost wise, with coupon, these aren't too bad, but a little rich for me to want to get a whole fistful of these things to keep around for general use - although I'd like to.I plan on snugging the tarp down on my boat with these and they should work great and be easy to release when I want to take the tarp off. Highly recommended.

I hate those flat straps people use to tie down items and have always preferred these. Super easy to use. These are light duty though, so keep that in mind. But perfect for securing a tarp over the bed of a truck or trailer, tightening down a mountain bike while traveling, etc. Also good for camping and having complete control over hammock or tent tie downs. Hopefully the plastic parts will hold up. I'm actively using them now, so if they develop issues I will update this review. As of now I recommend them for light duty use.

These are primarily used for tying down kayaks or canoes fore and aft onto your car. They are easy to set up, use and tighten down. I found them a little less so to loosen up, but I only tested them once and think as I use them more it will be easier. The hardware is good and the line in mine was the 1/8th inch one as I didn't think I needed anymore, but I find this thin line a little more difficult to use and would recommend you might find it easier to handle the slightly larger 1/4" line. You probably won't need it's extra strength, but it is easier to grip than it's smaller cousin. With 4 of these in a set, you have enough to tie down 2 water craft.

this is awesome set of tie downs. it comes with 4 in this set. the nylon rope feels nice and strong, the carabiner hook with the spring action latch is easy to operate, and the ratchet cam locks in tight. theres a release lever and it lets up the slack. this fully adjustable rope allows you to secure a multitude of things. I'm currently using this to tie down my kids bicycles to the rear cargo trailer. I lock in one of the hooks to one part of the cargo trailer wrap it around both of the bicycles, lock it in tight and cinch it up. I use all four tie downs just in case and those bikes aren't going anywhere.

These tie down straps are as described. They hold tightly when positioned. The rope is tightly braided and seems to be quite abrasion resistant. The ratcheting mechanism operates smoothly. The gates on the S-hooks are quite stout and work well. They would be perfect IF the S-hooks were bigger, similar to other straps I have. These S-hooks are only about 3/4” wide (inside measure) x 1-1/8” long, making them too small to get into the tie down holes on the ends of our Pelican kayaks. This requires either aa additional rope loop or carabiner on the end of the kayaks at the tie down points - something we were hoping to avoid (we learned the hard way not to load the kayaks carry handle ropes- the handles tend to break when loaded with tie down ropes). The S-hooks material diameter is 3/16”. The S-hook on the rope can be changed out pretty easily, but the one on the ratchet is riveted on. These are well made, for what they are.

I have a few of these from a different brand and really liked them so I wanted to get more. I like these ones even more.I use these a lot while I'm camping, they have a ton of random uses when you want a tight line or hold something securely. These have a plastic body but it's a pretty rugged plastic and doesn't feel cheap at all. The ratchet mechanism feels strong and works really well. The stop that locks the ratchet into place is metal as well providing some peace of mind that it won't break loose when you need it to hold. The caribbeaners are metal as well and are coated in what looks like vinyl. So I would assume that over time that will get torn up a bit but shouldn't affect the overall longevity of them.If you like to camp or just like having a multi-purpose/use tie down these work great. Definitely worth the cost and if you need someone a bit stronger they make a larger one too.

This is my first time using this type of pulley system. The pulley has a ratchet, and this allows you to pull one end tight. The ratchet has a small release lever. You need to be able to reach it to release the rope. Also, the release lever is spring loaded. It's always in the locking position. This means that you need to adjust all the sides a little bit, until you can tighten everything up.Overall, this are different than the ratchet straps that I normally use.I feel that my old straps were much stronger, however, this is probably sufficient for the load. When I say load, I mean the wind load.
