This tool was used to remove the idler and pittman arm off the drag link from a 2003 suburban Z71. Had a long enough reach to get a good hold. Easily separated the drag link off. Quality tool

It broke the first time using. The screw bent and the cup shattered.

I needed a heavy duty strong puller to remove a steering wheel off a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had bought 2 different pullers that were too wimpy to remove the stubborn steering wheel. I saw this one and knew it had enough kahoonees to do the job. I did have to grind a little on the legs to get a good fit and it removed the wheel easily. I know it's for tie rods but it was just the ticket for the steering wheel removal. Money well spent.

So I know this is marketed as a tie-rod removal tool, and it worked great on a C3 Corvette, but I also used it to help get a stubborn ball joint out of a control arm. Withstood my impact wrench doing it so I'm super happy. I do suggest giving the threads a little bit more grease than what they ship with to keep it turning well.

It does what it is supposed to as with any puller you have to be pressing it straight or you will break the cupped end. I am pleased with my purchase and would do it again. I used it for removing outer tie rod and lower control arm ball joints on a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 and it performed well. just remember to add a lil wd40 to threads before you start pressing the joints out.
