The description for this item is incorrect. The larger circular part is 1", and the center section is only 7/8". It does NOT fit a 1.25" steering tube. The rear expander pulls in too far before contact and the spring-loaded sleeves fall apart before getting friction.

Well-made and reinforces the steerer under the handlebar stem. Easier to use than a star nut and reusable, too.
