Tengo 5 años de practicar la escalada deportiva , y últimamente he aprendido a ser belayer y a montar reuniones para limpiar rutas , este ATC cumple con todas mis expectativas. Con este, en tono verde,tengo dos , el otro que compré es gris ! Me encantan y se que los productos Black Diamond me hace sentir segura escalando.

Should have read the reviews!! Green model is the ALPINE GUIDE that does not work with thicker ropes. Returning for the actual ATC-GUIDE. Minus one star for the annoyance.

Excellent device for my alpine rope (9mm) and there's even a way to use it as an ascender (search online). Doesn't seem fair to downgrade the device for the seller's mistake in the headline wording--this is actually the Alpine ATC Guide. Even then, examining the picture the device is clearly marked with the applicable rope sizes. With a choice of two levels of friction for belaying or rappelling it's a great piece of kit even if it's only used for a backup.
