Have only used a couple times to make Swedish torches...having a dowel helps...I used a piece of an old broom handle.

The product is very solid. I tried it one time and it felt really solid. I think it would be better if it comes with the other piece to turn it around. I had to kinds create a handle with a stick. Just for that I would say i give this product 4 stars out 5

This auger will turn an ordinary log into a hot burning stove. Takes a little practice, but is easy to use. Great as a Firestarter, or A Conversation Piece.
