This can be left on instead of having to take off the regular guard. Saves a step in setting up the drone. Nicely made, and also protects against crash damage. Great product!

This is worth getting as I have crashed my drones before and the first thing to get damaged is the camera. This product affords the protection of the camera to a high degree as the cost is minimal compare to fixing the drone...

Before I got this I crashed my drone into tree branches going backwards and knocked the camera loose. Lots of work getting camera remounted. Two more crashes going forwards and camera was protected.

One thing I found out that I never expected is my drone is cooler when I bring it back. I think this also acts as a cooler bringing air in through the front. Doesn’t seem to affect the way it flys at all. So it serves 2 purposes to me…. Protects gimbal and battery and drone are cooler upon return.

Does a good job as a sun shield when you need it. Only problem is that it gets into the shot sometimes along the edges.

It is meant to stay on the drone while flying. But it then puts the Mavic Mini over the weight limit at 251 grams!! It does protect the camera and gimbal, and I see no difference in the drones flying. The stock cover is to be removed before flight, but this cover is meant for use while flying, thus adding weight while flying. My Mavic Mini weighs 247 grams without the protection, and 251 with the protection on.

I lost the gimbal/camera protector for my DJI Mini 2 the very first outing. I thought I would find a replacement on the DJI website, but no go. I really didn’t expect this protector to be as good as OEM, but it is. It fits perfectly.
