This seems to be a quality product. My entry door and screen are narrow and I had to trim one of the aluminum bars maybe a quarter inch, but not a problem. I found the price to be very attractive. Less than the more common name brand.

Drill a few small holes and it is an easy install. I just added electronic door locks and the the inside door handle is not substantial. This crossbar works easily to close the door and eliminates pulling on the electronic handle.

Just received this handle and installed it just an hour ago. PLEASE do not use the big screws to mount the handle to the door, they are not very strong and will break off when tightening. Do yourself a favor and get 4 other stronger screws to mount it. No problem with the small stainless screws to assemble the handle, but DO NOT use the others to mount it. I had to grind off what broken piece was left in the door and mount it a 1/2 inch higher to cover the broken screw. Great handle and should work great going forward.

I bought this for a brand new motorhome my elderly parents and I are sharing. The handle does the job of giving you something to hold onto besides the flimsy screen lever and to hold back the spring-hindged door that can get away from you or pull you down the stairs when you open it. It's not the highest quality out there, but will do if you don't go measure your door first or want to pay extra for a custom fit. My biggest issue is it took some extra handiwork to assemble. The directions basically just say to measure your door and drill holes in the metal bar, like it's that easy. I will tell you what the directions don't: use SHARP 9/64" and 5/32" drill bits for the two different screws. I had to trial and error that. Once you get the bars in the plastic coupler just right, tape them together because they slide way too easily. Mark inside the holes with a black permanent marker and use the 9/64" bit to drill. I found doing this on the floor to be easier to stabilize the bar, get the hole straight, and apply force. Then, I used a level to get the bar straight on the screen (my rig is level, but the frame around the opening on my screen is crooked). I marked the holes with a metalic Sharpie, but you could use black if your screen is white. Then, I drilled pilot holes into the frame with the 5/32" bit. I started each screw after I drilled each hole to see if my other marks needed adjusting because the bit slides a little making the hole. I installed the right side first because it kind of then holds itself up to do the left. The job probably took an hour for this gal to do.

Went on easy, nice product, just what the doctor ordered for our trailer screen door. Absolutely no issues with the instructions, the parts, or the ease of assembly and install. Of course you need to be able to handle a Phillips head screwdriver of the correct size, use metal rated - gold colored bits/titanium coated bits are best, indent the marked hole location with a punch or finishing nail, and use a power drill with some level of skill and concentration. If this is not your thing then hire or borrow someone to do the work for you.

We have owned 3 trailers thru out the years - and we have added this grab bar everytime because it is so useful. You cannot bear weight on it-it is not intended for that purpose. Its intended for quick grab of the screen door to pull closed and it does just that - I highly recommend this item.

My wife saw this grab bar for our travel trailer screen door while we were camping so I bought it and installed it. My rating is for what this product is, not what people might think it should be. I had to drill like four pilot holes for the mounting brackets otherwise the installation was easy. I actually didn't screw it into the screen door. I purchased a screen door guard with diamond shaped grill pattern so our dog wouldn't rip the screen to shreds. I drilled four holes in the guard and used stainless steel machine screws and nuts instead of the metal screws that came with the grab bar. The grab bar itself isn't meant to help you climb the steps while getting into your camper, it's not that strong. It has plastic parts that aren't going to hold your weight but for its intended purpose as a grab handle to help you close your camper door it works awesome and we both like it. In the box the grab handle didn't seem like it would be very sturdy but once screwed together and installed it's strong enough to to be able to reach out and put the camper door closed. It works great for its intended purpose.
