I'm pleased with this camper screen door closer. I found it annoying that the screen door on my camper was always left open, letting in bugs, so I decided to give this a try. I have to say that it works quite well. It sometimes struggles to pull the door all the way closed hard enough to latch, but at a minimum it pulls it closed so the camper isn't filling up with bugs. Installation was pretty easy, just be aware that you'll need to drill two holes in your screen door, and two holes in the door frame. I like that it's easy to adjust the tension, so you can adjust it to your needs. Since my RV has a gas strut that holds the main door open (when it's open), I'm concerned that the tensioner of this device will wear out prematurely when it's latched to the main door.. but I guess time will tell. It's inexpensive, so if the tensioner fails, it'll be easy enough to replace it. It seems to be well made, fits my door perfectly, and looks like it could have come installed from the factory. I think it's a good value for the money and it solves an actual problem that I had with my camper - I'd buy it again.Recommended.

The packaging and instructions are outstanding. Very easy to follow and install. It was great that the drill bits were included as was an extra small screw. I appreciate companies paying attention to the small details that make installation a breeze. Adjusting the tension was simple as well. The only knock on this is that now I cannot open my door all the way when the screen door is attached. It opens about 120 out of 180 degrees. I appreciate being able to open my door and have the magnet catch keep it against the coach preventing the wind from slamming it shut when we are loading or unloading. It will still open all the way when the screen door is not connected to it and maybe that is okay. We have not yet made a trip with this installed to see how big a deal it is, but that is the reason for one star off. The product itself and its packagine are 5-star.

This works relatively well on an Airstream screen door. It comes with all the screws and drill bits needed to mount the hardware. The instructions are easy to follow. Keep in mind that this only closes the screen door from less than 90 degrees open, once past this, it will not close the door. It is perfect if you are going in and out of the RM and not counting on the door to latch. It should keep the bugs out if you forget to shut the door behind you. My only concern is that the cable coating will wear down and expose the metal braid underneath.

Item was easy to install. I had to install at the bottom of the door, works just fine. Time will tell as far as longevity is concerned. So far I’m a happy camper.

Let’s be honest: nothing ruins a peaceful camping trip quite like a screen door that refuses to close itself—unless you *love* sharing your camper with Texas-sized mosquitoes. That’s why I gave this camper screen door closer a try, and honestly, it’s one of those little upgrades that makes a *huge* difference.First off, installation was a breeze. The packaging and instructions were so clear and well thought out, you'd think they were written by someone who’s actually installed one of these things before. (Imagine that!) It even came with the correct drill bits and an extra screw—because we all know there’s a 50% chance one goes missing mid-project.Now, let’s talk functionality. This thing does its job. It pulls the screen door closed smoothly and consistently—no more flapping doors, no more surprise fly invasions, and no more yelling across the campsite, “SHUT THE SCREEN DOOR!” It doesn’t always latch it with a mighty slam, but it at least closes it enough to keep the bugs and lizards out. Honestly, that’s all I ask.The tension is adjustable too, which is great depending on your setup. Want a gentle close like a polite butler? You got it. Want it to snap shut like a disgruntled teenager’s bedroom door? Crank up the tension. Easy. Now, it’s not *completely* perfect. If your RV has a gas strut holding the main door open (like mine does), the tensioner might be working overtime. I do worry it could wear out faster, but hey—it’s inexpensive, and replacing it wouldn’t break the bank (or your weekend plans). There’s one other minor quirk: when the screen door is latched to the main door, it only opens to about 120 degrees instead of a full 180. That might be a dealbreaker for someone trying to load a life-size inflatable flamingo into their rig, but for the rest of us, it’s a small compromise. When the screen door’s not attached, it opens fully—problem solved. All in all, it’s a well-made, factory-looking fix for a real camper problem. It looks good, works well, installs easily, and might just save your sanity on your next trip. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat.
