This can crusher is a piece of crap. I can’t understand why it got so many positive reviews (thus the reason why I bought it). Lasted less than a month. Flimsy and after crushing about 20 cans, the handle broke apart. And the handle doesn’t stay upright, just flops down. Very disappointed and returned it. Do NOT recommend.

Hinge pins that allow the level to actuate and raise and lower to crush cans are rivetted in place. Not bolted through, not Chicago-screws; literally tiny rivets that break almost immediately. Useless trash.

The can crusher is sturdy and well built. It was very easy to mount and use. Now I can do my part in recycling! My shipment arrived quickly.

My boys wanted to recycle cans so I put his up in garage for them to use. It worked well at first, definitely good gob crushing cans. But it only lasted about 6 months before one of the side arms got a little bent, then everything went down hill from there. It only has adequate structural strength in the exact direction of operation. If someone (say 11 yr old boy) is crushing away and is pulling slightly to the side on handle, bingo, the arm is tweaked. Then it gets worse and worse until within just a few weeks is inoperable.So, if you can be 100% sure to only operate it in a perfect motion, probably will last. But if people/kids will use it whom may just crush away with abandon, its going to fail.

Mounted this on the wall in our garage as this is where we store recycling. It has worked well and is easy to operate. We have a rental cabin and we feel good about recycling aluminum cans more than we have in the past. We also do trash patrol on our mountain road and bring it back home as our state doesn't have a can and bottle law- yet. We take the flattened cans to a metal recycler at the end of the season and get enough to pay for the can crusher!

It works! Does what it's supoosed to do and doesn't complain about it lol it does take both 12oz and 16oz cans. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it starts to get stuck when pulling it back up but, to be fair, every single one of these I have ever seen in my life does that, I think it may just be because these are mostly outside so the weather degrades them just in general. But aside from that it's perfect and does the job!

i needed a can crusher that could handle the tall narrow cans from celsius and starbucks refreshers. This one does it very well. one of the reviews i read said they had trouble with durability, so i make sure that i am pulling down straight on it and not going too fast or being brutal. Its doing great.
