Received with 1 missing KNOBAnd plugged in and immediately felt warm....then turned cold.Very flimsy and light weight so not sure how it would hold up chicks on top.

A must have for any chicken owner! Getting new chicks for the spring and this brooder heater is perfect. Now I don’t have to worry about them staying warm!

This product would be best for slightly older chicks. I have to keep my brooder in the 90s for the first week and I have this heat plate cranked all the way to 185F and set at the halfway mark on the stand so they dont burn their heads if they touch it, its been on for an hour and the brooder floor under it is only at 82°Definitely keep a thermometer under it to monitor temp.
