Bought this for my wife as she was getting a hip replacement surgery done. I can’t really say anything bad about this cushion. My wife just could not get comfortable with it. That being said it will probably work for you.

if you need extra height added to a chair, this works very well. Rather firm. Not cushy. Nice fleece top on cover.

Since my stroke I need the extra height to arise from a chair. The old cushion is larger and suits me well. This new on is far smaller and not cost effective since the size and of this cushion is not good for someone with a larger butt

I bought this product because my lift chair no longer lifts and is too low for me to get out of easily. I have RA where pain and mobility are an issue. It was advertised that not only does it support; but, will help in standing up. I found out that these claims are true.Since last night, I have been sitting on the cushion. It feels like a firm mattress. Not too bad. And it is much easier for me to stand up. The cushion does not slip or move unless I move it.Personally, I am not so inclined to put a different cover on it, as no one can see it. I suppose one could make a matching cover for it. I was going for function not fashion.So, in conclusion, I recommend this product to anyone who has problems standing up from a seated position.
