Very pleased with the look and feel of this push button. Using it as a garage door open/close button for an old Stanley Economy 1/4 HP Model 1200.50

This button actually measures 3.5 x 1.75" which is what I wanted, not 3x1 as shown but that's what I wanted - a button that would cover up all the old holes in my aluminum cladding. This button is so well built in comparison to the poorly designed buttons they sell in the hardware stores. It' solid, and the button has a backing so you don't have to worry about it falling in when you push it, like the others I've tried. AS much as I love this button, I did perform a couple of hacks to improve on it.Firstly, I added a strip of electrical tape to the back of the metal mounting bracket to prevent a short in case the wires touch it. Secondly I put a bit of black electrical tape to fill a small gap between the button and the casing where the light shone through. One improvement I'd like to have seen was the tiny screws could have been 1/8" longer since there isn't much room for both a diode and the chime wire there.Regardless, this is a fine button which, for such a small item, will bring me pride, ever day, it is so well built and with LED. I tried a number of retail buttons that just didn't provide enough room for the diode etc. This one mounts flush - so much better.
