I know this lamp can be used for video conferencing/meetings and live streaming, but I wanted better lighting for my computer desk and work surface. I had a natural daylight lamp with no intensity or color settings and it wasn't nearly bright enough. I couldn't read papers I placed in front of my desktop monitor very well. This lamp works really, really well for lighting and brightening my work surface. It was very easy to put together. The base is heavy enough that the lamp is stable, but the base doesn't take up that much surface area on my computer desk. The height of the lamp is easily adjusted with the telescoping rod and the lamp head can be moved to direct light wherever I need it. This lamp lights a good amount of space and work surface area depending on the height of the lamp head. There are three light color selections and adjustable brightness levels which are very useful. It can be USB powered but I use it plugged into the wall with the AC adapter that came with the lamp. I attached the cell phone holder to the telescoping rod. While I haven't used this lamp with a cell phone in the holder yet, I think it will be very useful when I do video calls with my phone. For zoom calls this lamp provides better lighting than my ring light. I'm surprised at the quality of this light, the ease of assembly, and the fact that it's better than anything I've used before for my work area and meetings. It's replaced my desk and ring lights and I highly recommend it!

I would have graded this as a 4.7/5 starts but rounded up to 5. The reason for the minor deduction was that the placement of the control box on the power cord is too close to the lamp. I have positioned the lamp behind the monitor to get a full face-on illumination. From where I sit it is a bit of a stretch to get to that control box. One the light is on, dimmed and color adjusted, and positioned properly, there is no problem. So, no big deal. I am considering moving the control box maybe a foot or two down the power cord as in that position I can sit comfortably and look at my monitor while I make the needed adjustments.In my title (headline) I mention a small footprint. Well, it is actually 6" X 6" but it is so flat that things can be place on top of it without a problem. It comes with a 6' power cord. (That is all I need, another cord dangling down behind my desk. It already looks like a nightmare of black spaghetti down there.) It would have been nice to have this thing powered by rechargeable batteries and controlled by a remote control box. But I knew what I was getting beforehand so I can't knock it for this issue. Maybe their next, new and improved model....? I also like the mount. Its height is adjustable so I can position it high or low. The head of the mount is like a camera tripod. A thumbscrew allows you to loosen the ball joint to adjust the light in various directions. You could even have it point directly down, thanks to a slot in the collar that houses the ball. This option opens up uses for the light to many other possibilities like reading a book... :-)Overall it works great. It produces the amount of light I need (dimmable) without harsh shadows.

Excelente luz para grabar videos, funciona de maravilla y es muy fácil de instalar, no pesa nada, la puede uno cambiar de lugar sin problemas. Llegó a tiempo y el precio es muy bueno.

This is an excellent light if you are trying to get into streaming or creating videos. It has a low price point and really good options. The pictures show the light in the off position and in all three lighting settings. The light isn't so bright that you are blinded by it and it creates the desired effect, particularly when there is a lot of backlight. The stand is sturdy and can be raised as high as you would need on a tabletop such that it will reach over any monitor setup you might have. The ball socket allows for a good range of motion so that you can shine the light at most usable angles. Lastly, it comes with a nice phone attachment. This is a good addition, but it only fits when you pull out the inner arm...so there is a minimum height for the phone holder if you choose to use it.It is also a relatively low-powered device that connects through USB and it comes with a charger. The light can also be powered by a powered USB-dock. All-in-all, an excellent entry-level product for those looking to enter the streaming game.
