Bought 2 for a portable generator monitor box. Works great. Make sure that the cutout dimensions are precise as there is not much wiggle room.

Very well built and accurate energy meter, that is really accurate. Super easy to install and hook up.Provides excellent information to keep track of energy and performance of the power consumption. The temperature probe is a great addition. Either mount onto a surface for the surface temperature, or leave loose for ambient temperature.

I bought two (KWS-AC301 50v-300v/100A Pro+) of these to do a load study while planning my solar power system. This unit shows 8 values including Power Factor and Temperature. I connected both to 100 watt lamp to validate the accuracy. Voltage and current readings on both units were within 1% of my Klein professional meter. Power Factor displayed 1.0 which is correct since it was a pure resistive load, and Kwh calculated correctly over time. So the good news is they passed the bench test with flying colors.I've had them connected to my 240v well pump. I take daily readings at the same time each day to determine daily usage. Current flow is 8.2A, right in line with the pump manufacturer's specs. The run time feature makes it really easy to determine how long the pump actually runs each day and the kwh consumption.A couple of comments regarding using this data correctly and comments from others regarding inaccurate or confusing information:1. There are several comments about kw not calculating the same as volts multiplied by amps. This is most likely NOT an error in the meter because this is AC power, not DC power. Unless the load is purely resistive, (most are not) kw will NOT equal volts multiplied by amps (known as VA or Volt-Amps). This is due to something called Power Factor (Google it). If the overall load is inductive (i.e. motors, fans, pumps, refrigerators, freezers, etc) or capacitive (i.e. Computers, TVs, etc) kw and VA will not be the same. If your meter does not display Power Factor, you can calculate it by the formula PF = watts/(volts x amps). Typical power factor for homes range from .75 to 1.00 depending on what is running in the home at any given time.2. 240 VAC split phase measurements - You need to understand the load you are measuring in order to get the correct reading. If you are measuring a single device (such as a well pump, dryer or EV Charge Station) they typically are 240V "split phase". You can measure this with ONE meter. Put the probe on ONE wire. It will display 120 volts. There is no neutral wire so the amps flowing in the other leg is the same. Take the kw reading and multiply times two, because the meter is showing 120 volts, but the actual circuit is 240 VAC. You could also install two meters and simply add the kw values. If the panel is feeding multiple 120 volt circuits using two primary legs L1 and L2, you should use two meters - one on each leg. A 120 volt circuit has current flow through the neutral, so the current flow on L1 and L2 may be different. With that said, the CT diameter of these coils is small - this meter may not work depending on the size of the conductors you want to measure. You won't be able to measure the current flowing through your 200A main panel.

Hooked this meter into my 240V electric water heater. Seems to be performing as described. After a month of use, I have determined that it's very accurate, easy to read and can be reset to zero anytime depending on the application. I reset mine one per month to get readings. I recently also hooked one of these into a 12,000 BTU air conditioner in an apartment I rent out. I can now easily determine how much to charge tenants for electricity for the A/C use without arguments from the tenants. Very easy to install, and can be quickly replaced in case of malfunction. I had to cut a hole into a plastic juction box to insert the meter into it for protection and then mounted each unit on a wall next to the circuit breakers. I am ordering two more of these as standby reserve in case of malfunction. Not a major expense considering that I do not need to call an electrician to install a replacement. I looked at many other meters and this one seems to be very good quality and reasonably priced.

I got this for measuring the power draw and kWh usage for my car charger and it works great. It is about the size of a 1 gang switch and was fairly easily adaptable to a 4 inch square electrical box in this case. The display fits nicely behind a 1 gang Decora style wall plate opening and you can easily access the reset button.

Most reviews already summed up everything pretty well. It's a good price and is reasonably accurate, but not perfect. This won't catch anything that requires down to the single digit accuracy for volts/amps/watts, but for keeping track of power used to charge my EV and finding any gross problems with my 240V outlet, this will work just fine. A few things to note:1) The wire for the current transformer is ridiculously short... each lead is less than 6 inches long and extremely thin, like 20 or 22AWG. You will without much of a doubt need to extend it. I soldered on some 16AWG stranded AC wire, the kind you'd find on a typical house lamp, to extend it another 12 inches to reach between the outlet I want to measure and the place I wanted to mount the meter.2) It does not come with wire used to connect the voltage measuring terminals. I again used the same 16AWG stranded AC wire for this purpose. Though the wire was meant for a 120V outlet and I'm using it on a 240V outlet, I figure the current going through it will be minimal and it will be fine.3) As you can see from the pictures, I mounted it in a 2 gang workbox. The plate I mounted it on was actually a blank 2 gang plate in which I cut a rectangular hole. This was a perfect fit.It took me a couple hours to cut the hole in the drywall and connect everything up, but it was all very straightforward. As for accuracy, while my EV adapter is actively charging the car at its maximum of 32A at 240V, the readings are quite accurate. However, when the adapter is idle, the power readings seem correct, but the voltage and current don't add up to the power reading. Also, when I have nothing plugged into the outlet at all, there is still a 90mA current draw and a 0.7W power draw according to the meter. One last thing, and I think this was also mentioned, if you are more than about 30 degrees off axis vertically, the display gets hard to read, so you may want to mount it close to eye level.I was tempted to give it 5 stars, but the inaccuracy at lower current/power draw, plus the really short wire for the current transformer, made me give it 4 stars instead. Also I hope it lasts a long time, but at this price, I won't mind getting a replacement once every couple years or so.
